TT Sense works with a NTC thermistor - it should not affect the cold temp throttling at all really because NTC thermistors will hold their resistance high well into the sub-temp threshold (that's why they're NTC :) ). This prevents excessive sinking of the 122ua to ground, thus keeping the voltage at the comparator above the throttle threshold. I doubt lifting that pin will do anything in this case, although I guess you're free to try.
