my "sh*t" C3 is 3970 MHz stable with 1.488V, buts diferent a bit up, i tested not more, than i tested only LiNX, and never can broken limit 4032MHz(i must set 1.532V). Higher Vocre than helped me.

Since then, I've been tweaking again and I still don't see any improvement from raising Vcore over 1.525...
I always knew this chip had a pretty weak IMC and I still haven't quite figured out where the problem lies, but it's either the IMC or the Ram.
The cores will do 4.1Ghz+ @ 1.525v no problem (slight advantage of Air vs Water I'm sure)... Core temps never go over 49c.
Anyway, I dropped the HTRef (lowering the IMC and Ram) and raised the CPU multiplier and this is where I'm at right now FWIW.... :rolleyes:

its a no go for me at 4 ghz 1.5v I got a bsod........Im running 2.8ghz nb though and I wont lower it to be able to use lower volts on the cpu if thats the reason.Quote:

Im not gonna drop the nb 800mhz just to run prime at 100mhz higher. The point of of me showing these results was that my system is stable at my 24/7 setting which is 4ghz cpu 2.8ghz NB on 64bit os. Through all my testing since my 140w 965 my NB stays at 2.8ghz.......Unless Im going for suicide runs and trying to get that last mhz out of it ill drop it to 2.6 and up the bus.
Im gonna try 1.53v to see if it will run prime like that...
Dunno about prime and memtest, as long as the rig finished 3D bench up to screen shot and validation then its stable:D

Well with my 965 c3 dose not like volts at all it run prime 95 at 1.4375v for 4ghz . Under load running prime the CPU_vcore will jump up to 1.52v in AOD . The chip will do 4.1 i have not try prime for that yet . When the volts are set to any thing over 1.475v and i try to clock over to 4.2 CPU tells me to F-off and died i'am not going to do that. I found that my chip IMC is better with DDR2 that DDR3 . With the DDR2 i can run 2800NB but with DDR3 it only like 2600NB this is all using vista -64 bite and my water cooling is all inside
my case (so if a want to move my rig any ware i can) .
I can game on my 550BE MCE rig in the living room;) I still browse the web etc. No issues. I am dieing to get a Phenom II x6 in this thing and cruch, loved to se how it does.Quote:

hehe zues, idk if you were talking to me or not about prime for pleasure :D but i actually like doing a lot of prime because frankly i mostly use my cpus for everyday use, im not trying to break any records or anything. you learn a ton about the specific chip when you doing that much priming :p:

for my x4 965 is too not 2.8GHz NB so hard...+0.3V its oK, for harder benchmarks +0.175V only. But i cant boot with 3100MHz
Wow, that is quite some volts you guys push through your CPU-NB. My current 955BE C3 does 2.8GHz Prime blend stable with 1.23V. My 965BE C3 on the other hand does 2.6Ghz at 1.17V but refuses to do anything over 2.7GHz Prime blend stable no matter what voltage i shove down it's sorry bum.
My old 955BE C2 did 2.8GHz at a mere 1.28V and so did my old 940BE which leads me to believe the CPU-NB doesn't scale well with volts on these denebs but CPU-NB scales very well with cold.
Now let's hope 3GHz CPU-NB on the Thuban cpu's will be as easy as 2.8GHz on these denebs.
