I use a laser LED from frozencpu. You can direct the LED and get a cool effect almost as if the water is colored.
Also, here is a TIM chart that I like to use. The last couple entries are the liquid metal stuff, personally I don't use them. The prolimatech stuff is normal TIM and supposed to be pretty good. It can be found also at frozencpu, although they are expensive so if you can find it somewhere else go for it.

Hmm... I bet a UV laser LED would give some nice effects with colored tubing.
I don't relish tearing apart blocks to clean the dye breakdown. Maybe I'll only use it on loops without fine pins -- say an EK 5970 block which only has some widely spaced waves -- and use distilled water on the Swiftech Apogee XT block where the fine pins could easily get clogged if I used anything with coloring or dye in it.

Maybe I'll try that one when I'm bored of arctic silver. Either way, it should work better than the bulk pastes that ship with the processor, I would think.
Indigo Extreme is the way to go, but it has to be applied in the correct way, or it doesn't work well at all. MX-2 is a bit better as it is pretty hard to mess up. ;)

It seems your heart is set on using some premix. You know the risk you run, and that is the biggest thing that we want to get across on premixes. You run the risk of that stuff happening, but its not a guarantee it will happen.
I think what I am going to do is use Feser One UV Blue with clear tubing and only one loop. I'll add in a second radiator to the loop to help with the cooling -- a 120.3 up top and a 140.1 on the rear exhaust. I'll stick the pump in the bottom next to the power supply (res top or aftermarket top of some kind?) and put a big cylinder res behind the drive bays vertically. I just really am inspired by Malik's builds and Charles H's builds and want a look similar to that. I don't have their skill, but with practice maybe I can come close someday. :)
That'll leave my drive bays free and get more of the look I want, I think. And adding one more radiator into the loop should hopefully provide enough extra cooling that my temps aren't completely out of line.
It's too late at night to order water cooling stuff, so I'll have to wait.
I think I'm going to go entirely with EK waterblocks, including the cpu block. I like the acrylic tops that show the fluid color through them. And I'll go with bitspower fittings, if i can figure out which ones I will need.

I'm thinking about something like this. Will these parts all work together? Which Bitspower compression fittings would I need to make this all work together? Would I be better off with a bay reservoir with the pump inside the reservoir or with a reservoir top for the pump instead of a cylinder reservoir?

You won't need 3 bottles of coolant. 1 should get you 2 loops, but you can order a second to be certain.
There is no difference between using the res top or a pump top with the cylinder res. It all depends on the look you are after. :)
Ok, I've adjusted to eliminate the pretty colored fluids, I'll just use distilled water. I figure start with the simpler and less mistake-prone one. I can always switch later, after all. Here's revised parts list. I think I'll try to do it all in one loop with two radiators. My big question now is will these fans work well with these radiators or should I change one or the other?
Also, I couldn't seem to find any 45 degree angle compression fittings in the right size, I would want 3/8 ID 5/8 OD but all I found was 8 mm / 11 mm, which ends up at 5/16 ID 7/16 OD. That's not the right one, presumably.

You can get rid of the adapter since you don't have the 140mm rad anymore.
Those fans should be fine.
You can still get the other res as you don't have to mount pumps in it. Its only 5 dollars more and it gives u the freedom to do dual loops.
For your fittings, I suggest you go to sidewinders. They are cheaper than PPC. You may have to get the comp fitting and 45 as separate pieces. The price is normally the same though.
Your going to want about 10-15 ft of tube though. You want extra if you make a bad cut.

Use 2 drops max per loop on first fill, refresh with 1 drop about every 6 months. I've been using it for a while and haven't had any problems.
