266 MHz NF2 Dual Channel Done !!! 4100MB / Sec !!!

When last bench marking a Barton 3200+ I personally ran it in excess of 3000mhz on an NF7-S v2.

Can these board sustain such high cpu speed with a high fsb speed as has been exhibited by your screen shots? Something along the lines of 11.5 x 260+.

Also is it possible to increase cpu voltage above 2v?
For phase change cooling it would help. At 2v set up is limited to 3000 mhz for benching.

This board might be able to get a little more life out of the Socket A format....:D

PS: at 3000 mhz and stock 9800 Pro speeds 20500+ on 3Dmark 2k1 if I remmberer correctly.

My own cpu's would not break a sweat obtaining over all speeds. If only it were possible to obtain a board that would actually be able to handle it with 3Dmark.......:rolleyes:

Board has to be up to the task though. Some people exhibit fluctuations with high vcore and vdimm. The mosfets on the board are really small. However, the DFI NForce2 -AL is a budget board though and has more standard size power reg, so maybe these mosfets are better somehow. Still the low mffg max is questionable. Might end up with other problems.

I am hoping with some cooling to get a solid 2.0v and use an infinity for my everyday box. A vmod would be nice but I think there might be a reason they dont let you use 2.3 vcore.

Although I do have to point out that I get 198xx when running 250x10 with GPU @ stock, so I don't know what kind of fubared settings you're running to get such a low score at 266x10. :confused:

But I definately want to get my hands on these new DFI boards! :eek: :slobber:

Edit: To be fair, I set the record at 266 1:1 2-2-2-11, so you didn't actually *beat* the record, you matched it. ;) But obviously I'm sure you could beat it if you try a little harder. :toast:

Well, yes, usually it requires the L12 mod for Tbreds to exceed 220, and since he is stuck at 218, I figure it's a textbook case. :)

The last time OSKAR did a BETA bios it was for BOTH mobo's.
They are almost the same board.

Lan Party B and Infinity are nearly identical.

Lan Party A isnt worth the time.

I just got a an7 crap. Will have to test the an7 then get the lan party b. That board rocks.:D

I wonder if DFI is where the hotshot Abit engineer went when he quit. He was the guy responsible for the KX7-333R (IIRC the board name)

Infinity owners: Is that board as quick as the NF7-S per clock in 3DMark?

Some boards make a lot of horsepower but never get it to the ground, so-to-speak. :stick:

ABIT is getting lousy these days and totally inconsistent
Some are good, some are simply DUD !

Not that any of the nF2 boards have done what was doable in the KT266a/KT333 days...
