Sure there are always better parts but the goal seems to focus on the building process/aspect not necessarily performance which is quite obvious from the parts list and the description.

Which would still have led them to using a GeForce 9000 motherboard and not some shoddy G31 thing. Then again, I suppose they're right. It's easier to setup an Intel board than their own. The question is, if they're selling a barebones, why limit it so much? The MSI board isn't totally horrible, but the #1 issue I spotted was no gigabit LAN in addition to the hard drive's capacity.

Considering this is only being sold at tigerdirect. This looks like a tigerdirect bundle more than anything and tigerdirect bundles are rarely well priced.
I just priced this at tigerdirect and the total was 500.91.
If I had 500 dollars to spend, I would definitely spend it on something else. You could do worse those as they are not really overcharging you.

I really don't know why they use a laptop 7200rpm HD in the bundle. Probably tigerdirect way of clearing out old components.
I knew it, NVIDIA is going to rip people off with this "NVIDIA built" PC while you can build your own at a cheaper price. Fail NVIDIA, GTFO, why not entertain us by giving more info on Fermi and benchmarks instead.
This is more tigerdirect than anything. If you get their emails, you know that they love to bundle junk more than anything. This is sadly one of their better bundles. They still bundle Pentium 4 to this day.Quote:

in this price segment the 250 seems to be the best offer... amds 5700 series costs 15-50$ more, which is too much of a dx11 tax imo, as perf isnt all the different...
amds athlon2 is 20$ cheaper than intels, but its also slower...

Saaya, I am surprised your using such a cheap Power supply in your argument. Sure Ultra is not the best(it actually bad), but I would assume that with a lifetime warranty, they are not using a crap oem like deer.
Tigerdirect usually offers terrible price to performance ratios. Look at this bundle.

The NV bundle looks like a bargain in comparison.
As far as I can see they have simply made a mistake or just plain lied with the marketing blurb...

What the advertising leader on the web page for this kit should have really said is

Perhaps then they would be getting some praise for this kit rather than being ridiculed.

That system would be suited for 1024x768-1280x1024 ( max ) with moderate settings, as far as current games are concerned. Its just a tad retarded. I'm not offended by the concept but by its piss poor execution of a pontentially good idea. They are just trying to take advantage of their brand awareness and cash in. Bad play, Nvidia, bad play.
