Thanks guys.
Dumo I ran some NB tests today on the 555 and it looks like 3300 is about it under my testing conditions.

Are all these overclocks on single stages evaps or water and air as well?
Nice run OT:up:
Still trying to go sub 14s

Thanks Dumo, I can’t get the processor cold enough to keep up with you. I have been wondering about something for a while as to high HTT testing so I tried it today. When I tried high HTT tests on this same hardware using my 965-C3 it topped out at 360-365 or somewhere in that area. Anyway I tried it today on the 555 and it tested quite a bit higher as per the SS below. I tried it a 400 HTT but it crashed. I have all the setting are backed way off for the HTT test.

I did unlock the 555 to quad core today and ran a few tests SS posted below. I didn’t get around to any prime testing.

Dang old, that is even better than a 965 native quad, isn't it?
What temp was your coolant/cpu?
Zeus I doubt it.
It's possible on single stage ;) cruddy mach 1 at that.

Zeus so far it’s better than my early 965 C3 but I don’t have any of the newer batches (955-965 C3’s) to test in the same hardware under the present conditions to compare. The LCD poster displayed the CPU’s load temp @+7 to +10C during Super Pi but I don’t know how reliable those numbers are? The water temp (windshield washer fluid in this case) was -10C +/- as read on a thermometer with the sensor submerged in the cooling fluid. I guess it’s a version of a chiller (thanks to and based on something Beast USA has done) as the 9+ gallons of fluid along with a pond pump are inside a modified 3.5 CF freezer. I built it about a month ago.
I don’t want anyone to get the idea that I am trying to show the 555 as a better processor than 955 or 965 C3’s but that for only $100 this 555 (B55 unlocked to quad) can hold its own against its big brothers.:)
Sorry Dumo, I'm not trying to hijack your thread and if you'd rathar I'll post somewhere else?
Ah, ok. I was under the impression it was still on the rad that you had outside like in the pic in 64NOMIS' thread.
Do you have a link to Beast USA's chiller you mentioned?
So you think i'd better get a 955 C3 then?
Thanks chew, yeah I have several runs with only two cores and it does clock higher and scores better in SPi as a dual core. The unlocked to quad over clock run was more for the guys that read these 550, 555 threads wanting to know which ones will unlock and if the unlocked cores will over clock. Plus I got to play with a new toy.:D
