Very cool. Never seen a fan without the "shell" lol.

Very cool. Never seen a fan without the "shell" lol.
just a recommendation: the fans really take advantage of the frame to create air pressure, I would use a complete fan over the heatsink.
I know that, but it looks like ... you know what!
and since there will be a 140mm fan blowing fresh air right on it (look at the sketchups!) I don't think this will be a problem!
also even without the frame, it does blow a good amount of air by itself! (was pretty impressed, didn't actually expect that much ;) )
but I'll make sure to keep an eye on temperatures! thanx!
what do you think guys?

I do have a little problem figuring out what to do with the red DVI pluggs... ?
any idea ?
missa got pretty fans :D

I hate the yellow/red/black cables (no offense to germany :D ), and since I needed more length on most fan I decided to change them all by black ones. wasn't that easy, and it took me all evening, but rather happy with the result! and even if you will actually be able to see it on only one fan, I got a (sized) sitcker for each one... no jealous here!
I got myself a SSD holder too (very imaginative, you'll see), but this one ain't finished yet so I won't show it yet;)
got a "little" work done there...
I still have to do: the molex and SATA cables, and finish shortening and sleeving the jump start cables too.
but no can't do tonight, since... I ran out of lighter :D
here's what I got so far on the PSU:

with PCI-E cables on:

as you can see, I need the 24 and 8 pin ATX to come out from behind...
wasn't easy, but I'm pretty happy with the result...
Wow, never seen someone mod the 24pin out the back of the psu, very cool. Love the white sleeve as well.
getting stuff done...
should be finishing this ina week max (hopefully :D )

Wow that looks INSANELY nice!! I'm definitely looking forward to more pics :)
Agree with Callen - very nice. I would be happy to know my Doctor was such a detailed professional
thanx a lot... I should post more @ the end of the week end !
I gotta admit that I've been thinking about this build for months now... every detail has been thought and re-thought in every way so I can get this thing right. 'coz it ain't so easy to have it in that 1/3 desk ;)
what really pisses me off is that I'll have to install XP on that...
the software that we use for consulting (for the moment) isn't certified for 7 ... and it even has this stupid kinda girly name: "hello doc' " !
damn it! :cussing:
Could you run the program using window 7's xp virtualization mode?
Looks great, love the sleeving
I probably won't do that 'coz the guy in charge of the hardware/sofware maintenance right now is a :banana::banana::banana:...
and I don't know squat about network :D
That seems to be the status quo with the medical industry. They don't have a need to update software. (If it isn't broken, don't fix it.)
On topic, your project looks great. There are a few desk project I'm eyeing to get ideas from, as I want to do something similar in the near future.
Very very nice white sleeve.:up::up:
Is the white sleeve the thing which purchased in MDPC-X?
feels like i'm missing something....
any idea ? :D

btw the oval thing in the middle is a 2x30cm white LED flexlight... the idea there is to get light coming out from under the mobo... will see how it'll end up
also the SSD, it's holder, and the graphic card holder will be black painted tomorrow!
I didn't like the way it looked with the sticker on the SSD, besides it wasn't centered at all...
see you then ;)
painting's over now...
I also got part of the plexi done!
here's for ya, this is the plexi plate that's gonna keep the cables clean and safe ('coz the drawers come very close...) :

and after ;)

(sorry for the blurry pictures... my camera's batteries are down so i had to use my mobile)
Ah, nice idea with the plexi. You have a very inspirational build - making lots of us think about how to do a computer in our desk. I like that you did not crowd everything.
a now: mixing a desk with a hi-fi piece of furniture, or whatever you call that!? :D
today came the glass window! i'll show you tomorrow how i'll get this thing closed so that the kids won't open it!, but right now... i'm lovin' it (and no hidden commercial here!)
