isn't the inverted atx with PCIe vents facing upwards on a standard format card somewhat counter productive since the heat from the VRM's and other components would rise and heat up the GPU and heatsink

I see why the old "Silverstone Fortress FT01S" is on weekend sales 45% off at my local store now, Link .
I have been tempted to byt it, becouse it got 3 good & quiet fans that would cost almost the same. I'm still wondring if i shouls hit on it.
sorry, have a look at this

Yeah, Raven 2 has many fans, and it is logigal that it would be cooler. The original price (before sale) is much cheper too, but it is kind heavy (12.5 KG). It is not much leighter than my curreent case CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 (16.5 Kg).
I liked the all aluminium constraction and light weight av FT01 (8.7 Kg) and the 45% off is really tempting too. But I still don't know, thank you for you input!
Temjin 9-10 series are still the best cases IMO. The center fan that blows cold air right into the graphic card rocks :)
Use a real videocard ;p people who'd be buying this thing will most likely have current generation cards, which wouldn't allow for a decent rad to fit. It might be nice for the fan cooling people, but for watercooling, it kinda sucks.
I have more room in my Lian Li PC-A06F, which is a matx mini tower :p:
(well it's not really matx, but that is what i use heh)
i also think its a limiting case, there isnt very much room for growth. a single 360 or only a 240 if you have a long video card.
the layout i think really hinders your growth options. for comparison this case is 4150 cubic inches. my custom case which has 2x duel heatercores (they are taller and thicker than most rads, but only a little longer than a 120.2) and my total case size is 3675 cubic inches (12.5" x 14" x 21").
It's a case for air cooling, as simple as that.
Same as Corsair Obsidian 800D is for water cooling.
Exactly, it was putted together with aircooling in mind...
Cumps

Way to bump a 6 month old thread. I seriously have no idea how people do this.
