I have never been able to run 3dmark06 above 4ghz on air or water. This is a start. Hey Dave... where are you? You were supose to call in sick with the C3 disease:p:

Coincidentally, also tonight. 3-Yr old learns to spell. How do you spell Boo? "B.O.O.O.O.O." with five O's every time. Also spells name, first time. Note, now thinks CPU is in her brain. Coincidence? System getting flakey after some overclocking. Coincidence?

No Problem guys!! I'm happy to see some other folks results... :D
Yeah, What Raiderman said!...
Very Nice charged! Was that run still on air?
And yeah, I tried to call in with Phenomonia but my boss wouldn't go for it (bastage)...
Oh well, I've got a few hours to play now. I'm gonna stay on air for tonight (just cause I'm itching to tweak :yepp:)...
Simon, I'll try and get some air numbers in your thread soon (maybe tonight)...
I hear there's this new H1N1C3 Swine Flu going around.
Nice results everyone. I hope to hop on the bandwagon around Christmas.
im guessing mine will be coming tomorrow =) but im afraid i think i might be at the school all day =(
I know my clocks aren't impressive but I'm very happy with this cpu.
Phenom II X4 965 C3 @ 3,672 MHz
These are my 24/7-settings with air cooling and low voltages (as low as possible). Of course fan control is enabled and c1e is enabled too.
cpu vid: 1.3375 (down from 1.40)
cpu nb vid: 1.25 (up from 1.10)
vdimm: 1.51 (down from 1.60)
Unfortunately I currently have no time to work on my goal: Tcl 6 with less than 1.60 volt vdimm. But I hope that it's only a matter of time. :)
By the way: This systems is powered by a Seasonic S12-380. :D
No one said XP or 2003 was not faster for some benches ;)
Doesn't mean they are any more stable however.
BTW, preety low blow on bot....you should read my sig......No worries however I have retail parts now so faster chips and result times incoming.
Here's my "unmarked chip" as you called it.

Just for the record I'm about the only one that won't use "special" chips for comp.....and alot of people know this otherwise you would see results like this on the bot in the 955 class...http://valid.canardpc.com/cache/banner/625076.png
Cheers.
I'll be the one posting the not so great results. I just picked up my C3 965 of 0941. Now I'm running a Crosshair III and for some reason, the setup as it was running with my 955 can't do the same. First of all 2800 or 2600 NB was a nogo. I could only use a single stick of 2GB OCZ Reapers DDR1600 with 7 7 7 timings. Lower speed and higher NB is a nogo. System won't even boot with 2 sticks of memory.
I do however have 1 small problem. I can only use the memory slots on the outside- further away from the CPU slot due to the TRUE 120 and the memory heat spreaders too high to fit. I'm not too sure if I'm doing something wrong, but this is a little ridiculous seen that I was looking forward to trying and testing the chip. Any ideas.
voodoo that sounds like a bug I had with an m4a79_T. macci and vince IIRC had the same issues in QC.
I think a bios adressed some issues with that but I know a board was bad. If you insulated ram slots and used vaseline or dielectic the asus's tend to act up, its like the pins don't have enough tension to make contact. I ran into this issue as well.
Chew* thanks a bunch I will try it out, but I think I might have found the problem. I reinstalled my old 955 and same problem. When I installed the true 120 the screw driver slipped and nicked the board. Upon closer inspection the scratch was right across 3 lines comming from the memory. Great, I think I FINALLY killed my Crosshair III. I'm sort of happy, but still upset as I can't test the 965 C3.
Same batch as Trans AM. 0941cpmw
I almost had 4.4ghz with 3d06, but it crashed on CPU test 2 lol.

Whats up peeps

second boot
4.1ghz validation on stock voltage

Nice Titan7171, same batch that I have.
Your clocks are really similar to what I got in the first few hours...
There's alot in these new chips, but in typical Phenom fashion it's like a Rubicks cube... :p:
I switched to water tonight and saw some really killer clocks (upward of 4.4 ), now I just have to dial things in for stability....
Once I get things figured out I'm pretty sure I can get ~4.2 stable on water, sweet chip! And tuning things is half the fun...
Keep us posted Bud!
Dave
same stepping here... 0944 was just like 2 weeks ago ;)
well Im running prime now at 4ghz 1.475v
Ambiant is 20c
and Im seeing load at 43c
which is conflicting with my lapped C2
which ran 4ghz 1.57v
24c ambiant room and saw load of 41c
My waterblock is lapped also and contact between the block and C2 was extremely good (squeezing all of the thermal paste out and showing pretty much copper to copper contact with only the smallest hints of paste)
Nice clocks you guys. I had to suspend testing yesterday unfortunately. Had a pair of computers come in with viruses, and both ended up needing windows re-install. :shakes:
Okay, I got a new Corsshair III and I got 2 sticks of 2GB ram OCZ working in the outside slots at 1600mhz with 7 7 7 21 T1 timings. But I can not change my NB speed higher then 2000 by using the multi. I did with similar board, same bios 2800 on the NB for 24/7 use with the memory at the same speed only a 955 at 3.8ghz at the head of the table.
What the hell is going on? This board in general is pretty straight forward to clock..... I did not expect this when running a C3 965
