Yup, as usual it is a compilation of conspiracy theories and assumptions.

I would take anything this guy has to say in regards to Nvidia with a healthy dose of skepticism. That being said, there IS something suspicious going on here. And I don't think that Intel's backing up Lucid as strong as they did anymore. I think this was their backup plan, in case they didn't reach an agreement with Nvidia over SLI...

Don't forget how they contaminated TMSCs 40nm fabs to make sure ATi can't get high yield on the 5870 until Fermi is ready.

Who's giving away their patents, products, technology, for free?
Hydra is not free either. Lucid charge for their products based on the lanes supported and this taxes our mobos accordingly.

the fact lucid was only planned for 1 board can show they were not ready for a full launch. whats the point in building something supposedly so revolutionary, and then only putting it on one out of hundreds of boards.

the fact nvidia could stop something backed by intel is a pretty dumb idea in itself. given how intel plays, nothing would stop them from forcing every intel based mobo to never see sli again. (as long as their willing to pay a small fine of x.xx billion, lol)

I agree charlie is a bad source, but NV sure have been feeding him (wood screws anyone). However I disagree about the one mobo problem. Could it not be lucid needed to test the market before pushing it out to everyone?

the big bang mobos had a ton of new things on them, not sure you can call that a test board since those who buy it might get it for other reasons too. to really test, it would have to be on a few different boards of variety to know which market would be going for it. (and i know its not as simple as i make it sound, theres much more depth in predicting sales figures of new tech)

I personally am not going to be so quick to dismiss Charlie this time. When he first started yammering about "bumpgate" I thought he was pretty much ranting for no reason. Same with a few more articles he wrote.

So this, I bet there is something to is, especially given Nvidia's actions lately. I would put money down that Nvidia will pull every trick in the book to keep Lucid enabled motherboards down.

I have to admit that Charlie has been right more than wrong as of late... and the wood screw thing is just funny.

I think though that if intel wants Hydra on a board they will just release it on their own. nvidia really doesn't have much bargaining power with intel on their own boards. :D

And NVIDIA planted evidence to incriminate Hector Ruiz in the trading scandal. And they made marks all over the R600 blueprints to mess up hardware AA resolve functionality. And they contributed 90% of the cheesy jokes that tarnished the Transformers 2 movie.

Burn them at the stake!

only charlie could blame the failure of a MSI motherboard with an intel chipset on nvidia.

Doesn't matter, we are talking about this particular article, and there is not a single shred of evidence to back it up, it's all pure speculation. The Physx and AA code in Batman have been dealt to death with and were moves from nVidia (and lack thereof from AMD's side), that actually made sense, but a lot of people fueled by this incessant rage against nVidia can't seem to grasp this.

People need to realise that Charlie Demerjian is out for only personal revenge and is taking people with him who are easily influenced and believe that nVidia is some sort of devellish company who does nothing but lie and this that and the other. Well done for falling into his little trap of trolling.

No matter if its nvidia to blame or intel or anyone else, you can't buy it in retail, so something is fishy around the whole lucid thing.

Well... I think Lucid has one-up'd Nvidia and decided to delay their boards and put up a pseudo nvidia board as a joke.


Understand, there is nothing Nvidia can do to stop the H200 from being released, period. What about all the Radeon fans who have no use of Nvidia anything..? How does Nvidia matter to them..? They don't. I suspect the delay is a political move to slap Nvidia in the face. As it was already mentioned there would be TWO version of this chip. Maybe Lucid said "frak it" and just decided to release the cross-vendor chip, just to walk over Nvidia.

Either way, it won't matter, Big Bang isn't killed off, it was delayed. The article was heavily biased and "butt hurt", so it's nothing but speculation.

well then why does not ati run with lucid?

maybe they could test it for us? why no tests with lucid?why not two diffrent class ati and a intel igp? or something???

I think the reason everyone is upset is they either saw it coming, or would not put it past NV.

I am getting rather tired of their worn out shenanigans.

Easy road to success...

#1. Put out good products
#2. Support the customers purchasing those products.
#3. Try to create (not manufacture) inventive ways to use or otherwise enhance the product.

NV is struggling to pull off #1 and manufacture anyway possible to look like they are doing #2 and #3 while really "F"ing #2, and people are sick of it.
