Oh, I setup a poll on OCAU HERE. If you're going to import them, PM me as I'm after a 250ml one (bit longer than the one in the picture Ian posted) with clamps.

Yes, you are correct, I was worried about that. I used very thick wall tubing so that the threaded part is still thick even after threading. I've got the first samples here and they seem very strong.

I believe so. If not, I may have my shop enlarge the diameter of the flat where the fittings go... IIRC the largest comp. fittings available are around 1" dia.

FYI for Aussie members, I've discussed with masska how important it is to keep prices fair for everyone (as this res is already going to be a hair more expensive than other products when the clamps are included), and I would indeed like him to give a special price to XS members in AU if possible.

Basically ASAP. I'm ready to go, but am waiting on purchase confirmation from a reseller.

I have all of the parts sitting here unassembled for the clamps, and the machine shop is ready to run the reservoirs the second I give them the go-ahead. After that it will take about 3 days for production to complete.

Don't forget those lovely import duties which average around 30% of an item's value depending on the country ;)


I will do my best, along with others involved, to keep the price as low as possible.

australian dollar is good atm, but the stupid import tax is ridiculous.

and btw I've noticed some of you here and on OCAU are referring to them as 175ml and 225ml. It actually should be 175mm (millimeters) and 225mm (millimeters), that refers to the actual length of the res and not the liquid capacity.

Ian, we only have import taxes for items over $1000AUD, if it comes to too much, ship one lot to me and one lot to masska, no fee's that way.

I just wanted to let everyone know, I have gotten the green-light I needed from the reseller. The reservoirs are currently in production and ETA in the US is about 2 weeks for stock at Petra's and Sidewinder.

The Australia order is moving along very nicely, and if everything goes well, that ETA should be about 3 weeks, although an extra week should be allowed for distribution to AU resellers.

I also am now talking to highflow.nl, nothing solidified yet but things are looking good there. No word back from Watercooling UK, but it has barely been 24hrs since I contacted Rob so no worries there.

I talked to my machinist, and the tube portion of the reservoir is made on one of his least busy machines. The good news about that, is that custom lengths will be available in a special run once a month. I will collect custom length orders starting the 1st of each month, and the run will be done at the end of the month. That means the longest wait (depending on which part of the month the order is placed) should be about 5 weeks. The price for custom length complete reservoirs will be about 20% higher than normal (plus the cost of addl. material), and the tubes themselves will be available seperately to interchange with tubes in already owned reservoirs.

I also will be having a surplus of blank endcaps made, so custom port configurations can be special ordered direct from me, with a reasonable extra charge. :)

Are you still planning on releasing these or are they shelved for the time being?

I ran into quite a bit of trouble getting my hands on quality acrylic in the size I wanted, at the price I wanted, in the quantity I wanted. That is all solved now, and they are just around the corner.

A lot of my trusted suppliers have fallen apart from the condition of the US economy, so getting quality material quickly isn't as easy as it used to be. Because of this, I grossly underestimated the lead time on these parts.

I'm very excited about this. I just installed a Bp res the other day and couldn't stand the chintzy plastic clamps I had to use to secure them. These look like they'll not only have a much smaller footprint, but will be much more reusable as well. I can't wait to pick up a set.

Finally done... shipping to Sidewinder in the morning. Should be available in about a week, both 175mm and 225mm sizes, and seperate clamp sets.

Thanks for the patience everyone. I had some issues getting materials that were up to my standards, and then made several small improvements here and there. Now I'm happy with the product, and feel good about them being in customer's hands.

Petra's is still dealing with moving, so for the time being they'll only be at Sidewinder. :)
