you do know that the GTX 295 is two underclocked GTX 275 GPU's right?

and also the hint that it's going to include a G200b GPU and a G92b GPU should be a major hint to what it is.

ahhh come on... this is just another pr stunt gone wrong and nvidia falling backwards on its butt :D AGAIN! :D

they will try to sell a few hundred extra gpus at a higher price... they wont make any money this way, this is all about not LOSING money selling off old stock, and at the same time trying to steal some pr and sales away from ati... well, they are trying... :D

afaik thats not the case, when a product is new there are ref cards and ref cards only... and thats cause nvidia wont allow anybody else to make cards. then they allow their bigger customers to create custom cards... but not everything is allowed... remember that asus said their mars card wouldnt use nf200? thats cause nvidia didnt want a non ref 295 card... ultimately nvidia apparently realized that with gt300 delayed mars isnt such a bad idea at all and gave them their ok... nvidia is usually very strict about ref designs... they didnt even allow card makers to clock cards higher than default in some part in history, cause it didnt fit their strategy... nvidia usually only allows card makers to do what they want if a product is at the end of its life cycle and they need some attention and pr to make their cards look better.

well nvidia is most likely betting that gt300 will deliver and thatll reset their counter to 0 or even full credibility... and they are most likely right :D

Mirror's Edge... that was one of the most frustrating, iritating and dull games I've ever played!
Haven't played Batman, but I read people saying it's nice game with some features forced out on red cards ;)

So, all-in-all there's just one game worthy playing - Batman that supports this PhysX stuff!

And they want to make people believe it's worth spending 3xx+ USD on a outdated, renamed, DX10 card for the sake of just one... DX9 game?

That sound tougher than designing Fermi :)

not really, they test different sli modes and then create game profiles for new games... they dont "MAKE" or even modify drivers...

come on, you cant seriously tell me you think this is a great product and the jokes im making about it are entirely unjustified.

if this is such a great product, then go and tell me why... whats cool about this? will it save people money who want a gtx275 and a gts250 for physix? unlikely, especially since prices are plummeting... so then what IS it good for?

i like evga and i dont mean this as a bash at all, evga is a great company with some really innovative products! same for nvidia!
they both do deserve poke though imo for making this card...

If the sell this cheap as hell then I think it is an awesome idea, ATI and AMD have always tried to dump old high end stock at slight profit [or even a loss] just before a new gen comes out and when they sell it cheaply enough like the 7900GTO and X800GTO2 it is a bargain. Midrange Fermi is likely quite a long way off and this is an innovative way of shifting out of date chips that are still more than powerful enough for the midrange market and probably all upcoming games over the next year.

very true, if for an extra 20$ i could get a 80$ card bundled with it that can run other features while the big one does most the work, it might be a good idea. however whats the chance they sell the extra old EOL card for anything but what its retail price is
