Yaa why would people buy 5850 x2/5870 x2/GTX 380 such stupid bunch of people. Amm why do they crossfire/SLi cards anyways :shrug:

Huh 5870 costs $349 and 5870 x2 is suppose to cost $500-$600 means one can save $100 and electricity instead of 5870 Crossfire. Why did i buy a 6800 GT instead of a 6600 GT??? You have opened my eyes :shocked: My stupid new 19 inch 1080P deserves a 6200 so that i can play amm Quake 3 "1080P" on it :rolleyes:

first off ayone who has run out and gets a few 5870's does it cus there crasy gamers or benchmarkers and need to have the lastest and greatest to keep up with the jones's(that dont make you a bad guy btw),maybe the 3x 4890's they had before were too running slow..nah:D

as for the 58x2 being cheaper that only means that its slower than 5870 in cf,maybe clock speeds or something idk or care about it,what wont a 295 or 48x2 run?thats why you need dx11 or phx to sell with.

i really think you bought a 68gt because you could not afford an ultra and was just as good:)
i was broke back then so i ran 68 nu in sli,it beat my ultra np,but i was only playing m.o.h AA,you know thats when most people were clueless on if the game was gpu or cpu dependant;) although things were pure for gaming then not selling out left and right like today come on some games have ads in them:(.
as for now with little :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:es worried about getting every frame for crysis and fc2 upgradeing for a crappy games like most of the dx11 games we be, its feeding right into there hands
hell if they came out with a game that really sufferd from:it sucked on playablity,low frames on top end gear,badly coded/loaded with bugs then dropping support for it! BUT if it looked great like a frecking picture it would sell cus all the punk ass :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:es would hypit it up like the second coming,to the point that even people who should know better are taking for a ride.

They just can't win, can they? AMD says some games are coming in 3-6 months. nVidia says games are a year out. AMD lists A titles that are out this same year or early the next as proof, and some people go "Oh, no, that doesn't count."

Morrowind when modded can bring my GTX280 to it's knees, same with Oblivion, FO3, Stalker, Darkplaces (Quake 1), do I need to go on? Go and play your unmodded console ports on your 8800gt if it makes you feel better about yourself.

Ironic Nvidia was sure whoring out the 8800 series exactly for these same reasons for DX10. But when the little guy comes back and has something new to meet DX11 well it's just not needed. I'm sure glad we saw so much come of DX10 oh wait I'm still waiting.

There's no functional difference. Heck, you can give them a couple of extra months if you want and say nVidia is claiming 4-10...they're still on the losing end of the argument.

Games are often susceptible to delays, nVidia might be right and the first REAL DirectX11 games might not come until Feb (DIRT2). Even if Dirt2 is running on time, is it really going to be a DirectX 11 title? or is it going to be a DirectX10 game with a DirectX11 code path to speed things up or add a hard to spot effect?
BOTH ATi and nVidia are right here, ATi had the optimists view and nVidia were the pessimists view... the truth will lay somewhere between the two...

I'm interested in AVP and Stalker. The rest of the list I don't care about or isn't a specific game.

I'm waiting to see what Fermi brings to the table. But they better start mass production pretty quick because those two games are enough to make me stop waiting if Nvidia can't get their act together.

Games like DiRT 2 are nothing but a mess of postprocessing effects that DX9 could have easily done. Performance boost is the only current reason to want DX11 and if a bunch of those games rock dx11 faster than they do in dx10 I'll go order my HD5870 now.

Not even based on DX10, but DX9. Because the "DX11" games are based on DX9 because they are built for the consoles then ported to PC.
