i vote yes too i would like to see a really oced to limit p4ee can do
I voted yes, but I agree that it is a touchy issue to some people and I think that Fugger has to do what he feels is best. I would, however, like to see what that CPU can do unlocked. Maybe he could at least post some screen shots, even if he does not officially publish the scores.
If the final-- shipping version of the chip has locked multi's then I would say that it is an unfair atvantage to use the unlocked multi's of an engineering sample.
My logic: If I was a top notch overclocker who just spent thousands of dollars for an orb smashing rig ( dual prommies, P4 EE, a great clocking XT, etc..) and I was in second place below another P4EE which had full use of all multi's then I would be a little upset.
Just my two cents...........:D
This is what I would do.Quote:

perhapse i worded it wrong...
i dont mean that fugger has to do what we vote... ;)
i probably should have said: "would you think it fair if FUGGER used other multipliers on his P4EE/ES?"
oh well... :p:
Where the hell do you people get ES CPUs? That's what *I* want to know.
FUGGER works for intel. :rolleyes:Quote:

There is no such thing as "unfair advantage"
If I happened to have somthing nobody else had and I could get to the top of the orb with then then id use it.
Providing I wasnt breaking NDA, which has occationally held me (and im sure others) back in the past.
yes, what's the use of that EE-ES else ? :D
just get it in to high gear, and use the force FUGGER :smileysex
I would definitely use the lower multipliers and not publish those scores in the orb, but if the multiplier is the same as what's available to all, that's the orb score that should be published.
This is just my opinion, my 3.2es I won't include in any CPU CPU DATABASES. Any Orb scores I publish will have the multiplier locked at 16 to keep things fair.
Many people will b*tch, moan and complain, and denounce it's an illegitimate score if a multiplier is used that is not available to all, I kinda agree.
Just my .02 cents
I say this, you bought it, you can use it however you want.
If they want to complain, let them.
But, it's up to whoever has the cpu.
I do not work for Intel, I am a IPD
Intel Processor Developer
Wow... :slobber:Quote:

I understand, but that kind of defeats the purpose of "having" the ES in the first place....Quote:

Well i would only vote Yes if he could use 17x multiplyer.
I dont't think he can move his multiplier up...Quote:

You've missed my point. He can't use it thats why i wouldn't vote Yes.Quote:

what would be the point of using a higher multiplier?
why would intel release a higher multiplier then they have running at stock speeds anyways? ;)
awesome fugger have fun
are you going to bring the prommy i sold you? :D
btwwhat are you planning on bringing?
Move multiplier, for great justice!
