What ram has 100% sure D9GTS/GTR chips?

You're right, compared them to my Crucial value's with JNL and they're different shaped, definately.

The chips on the Ballistix are at least 3-5 mm longer.

Could they be D9KPT?

long d9's are usually GTS.

a friend of mine has 4x1gb gskill HZ's with d9gts's. as a matter of fact, i think he's selling them.

from my experience, JNL's clock best out of the D9s.

i have a 6gb kit of JNL's that run 2050mhz cas 8 at 1.75v pretty easily.

I have had contact with him but shipping cost was more than the price for the ram. :mad:

JNL's may clock good but suck for S775 platform. S775 needs tight timings, JNL may be nice for I7.

I've got me a deal on another kit of CSX Diablo's, GTR chips. :)

Let's hope these are good.

CSX Diablo and Cellshock seem to be the best clocking ram on the Rampage Extreme.

is it new diablo you\re getting or used one?

I`ve seen some new diablo gtr for 100 euros. I dont know if it is worth the price. :shrug:

Used ones. I've seen them for 100€ myself at 2 stores in Germany but i could get thise for €40,- shipped.

It's up to you whether it's worth it or not, GTR is ok for X38-X48-NF790i and AM3 but not for i5 and i7.

I know good Diablo's absolutly rock in a good Rampage Extreme so it kinda depends in what board you'll use them.

Off course there are also not so good kits. My current kit needs 2.1V for 900 7-6-5-18 but it might be a bit worn out by the former owner. A good kit will do that at 1.85-1.9V.

Look for used kits on forums/ebay etc since there are no more new kits with your chips.

Also the OCZ flex still have GTR. ;)

GTR is getting more rare by the day though.

Don't buy the Ballistix 1800, i did and i can assure you they're not GTR/GTS or if they are it must be the worst ever.

Most likeley D9KPT or something. Don't buy!! :nono: (Or if you want them, i have a set for ya. :D)

I meant new brand models or new supply of chips. Of course if they had any stock left from past they can still sell them as new :D But you see yourself that it is rare since normally nobody keeps old stock items for a very long time

As for ballistix most certainly were D9GTR/S in past. Had myself a pair 1GB 1600 CL8 D9GTS.

I dont feel like paying 2gb for 100 euros anyway. But price 60 euros for Ocz Flex II ddr2000 cas8 sounds good. Is this kit you are talking about?

as for crucial - at least back in ddr2 days they have changed their p/n once they went to new chips , may be you can detect chips by asking the .8SFB part before buying.

i had a couple of 1333 c6 sets (both .8SFB1) , a couple of 1600 c7/8 sets (all .8SFB) and a couple of 2000 c9 sets (.8SFB and .8SFB3) - all were gtr/gts

m_e_n_g, don't think that those 1000 7-7-7 are real unless you are running strap200. 3:5 is buggy divider with strap 400.

Yes, true. The last stock of GTR/GTS stick seem to dry up quick now. :(

JNL's will be obsolete soon as well, eol pending by Micron.
Never liked JNL/JNM much myself. I think there's D9KPT to replace them, not an overclocking star either. :(

BL12864BE1808.8SFB2 Even 7-7-7 clocks like crap, lol.

Is the 3:5 divider buggy on the P45 chipset too?

I know it is on the X48 chipset but i don't know about P45 actually.

The Super Talent Project X are no longer GTR or GTS, it's HCF0

Zeus, you have bad luck man! :) All my Ballistix are GTS or GTR. My best kit for RE is the Gskill HZ with GTS by a mile. I hunted for a while and went through a lot of crap sticks.

Yeah bad luck...that's my middle name.. :D

I some Gskills with GTS ofered but shipping from the states was more than the price for the ram itself.

Hunting down Gskill HZ can be an unsafe bet, the Gskill HZ i bought first to go with my RE last year were Sammies. :(

Cellshock CS322270 and CSX Diablo are for sure GTR.

Why do you think the HZ's are the best by a mile for the RE? Best clocking or tight subtimings? Deachus, who contributed in this thread said he could not run his with 7-6-5 but had to run 7-6-6.
