Exactly what I did with mine, too.

I saw no difference in performance after doing it but at least it's something you can replace!

Ah sorry, I didn't know that was the max. Why didn't you go for 2TB drives though? The price difference isn't big at all.

Check the date of post #1.. 2TB drives were insanely expensive back then :p:
