I'm experienced with electronics, soldering, ect. And know that modifying the pump would void any warranties; as a computer enthusiast who likes tinker with everything, I know the dangers in modifying stuff.
If you are not sure if adding a RPM sense is possible, would you happen to have a schematic of the PCB that's inside the pump?
