Looks like only UD4 and above boards will be those worth getting for enthusiasts.
Would be very interesting to compare UD5 with UD6 in overclocking, twice more phases yet I bet there will be little to no difference...
If people actually believe that, it's no wonder they are plastering it all over the boxes. There are no such benefits to be had per se in this application over a well designed 10-12 phase solution. You could get the same current handling capabilities by using higher power fets and a single package buck controller.
I want to someone photoshop a board with 500 phases on it, but then again maybe not since then gigbyte might try it.
i hope all of those new boards did not have VDROOP as EX58-Extreme
