This really bugs me out about cutting the 5,25" cage a couple of weeks ago. :shakes:
You're not my best friend atm, if I put it that way.

incredibly interested in this product. i'm already in love with your brackets. they're fantastic.
Wow, awesome. I was just about to cut my drive bay cage out, glad to know I have a better alternative.
Expect an order from me as soon as these are available.
I guess this means that I no longer have an excuse to keep ghetto-rigging things together... :D
Nice mounts! Looks like I have a great tool to work with more projects!
fire me an email I'd like to carry these
Good to hear from you again Linus!
I'll email you soon.
generic L brackets work pretty well for some ghetto mounting, but I agree that these have long been needed and it's surprising they've never really been made available by someone prior :o
looking good man. im probably going to need/utilize a set of these in my next build.
Thanks fit!
I'm still utilizing that block you made in mine!
what is the width of a 5.25" bay?
armeniandave, since im also in SD area, would it be possible for me to just come to where ever you are and pick up/buy the brackets? i'm just trying to get it as fast as possible rather than wait for these to ship to distributors, wait for them to list it, buy and pay for it, and wait for them to ship it to me. and do you already have a list of distributors that will be carrying these?
lol the answer is in your question: it's 5.25". why else would they call it a 5.25" bay?
It's actually 150mm, or 5,9".
Edit; I belive it's called 5,25" becouse of the floppy disk standards which fitted in the different bays.

Sorry for going OT in your thread ArmenianDave!
I'll keep that in mind when I design my case in solidworks.
Actually a standard 5.25" bay is 5.75"
That's the standard that they came up with way back when.
Measure any DVD/CD burner and that width is the width of the bay.
WhiteFireDragon PM me and we can talk.
BTW I also have some new SSD mounts coming out called the "X" Bracket. I'll start a new thread in a moment on them.
These will be a sure deal for people and really expand the realm of cases people choose to go liquid with. I know for sure these would have made my life easier when I was cutting out L brackets w/ the old dremel last year when doing a rad-to-bay drive mount. Would have made things look so much better too. When I take my Lian Li PCP80 parts and decide to give them life sometime in this year I will be in need of these for sure. :)
Keep up the creativity Dave and great job!
What is this X bracket you speak of?
its a mount for max 3 ssd's
see computer cases section for more info, dream
How much are you planning on selling those brackets?
Should be around $17 or so for a set of four with mounting hardware.
clever... where can one buy these? :D
So far Sidewinders and PPC's will have them.
I'm still waiting on a few other shops so
I expect that there will be more.
BTW Rise how did your case come out?
