Who the hell sells boards with having to cut a trace before they are sold?
Take it easy, it happens all the time and it's called "last minute revisions" but...
I must say that if they did in fact cut that trace at the factory, they did a lousy job.
/edit: looks like a ground trace IMO so it shouldn't be a big deal anyway, we'll see...
Well what about the guys that didnt have there boards cut? I wonder if there having probs liek there 3rd DIMM slot burning out on them like mine did when i connected the trace.
I've heard of last min revisions, but not on the final boards that ship out. This is the 1st time I heard of a mobo maker cutting traces
on a shipping product.
Most likely you've never noticed it before because it's done professionally w/o leaving obvious traces of it.

Twiggy at the Abit forums says his board has the gash but he got it from eXcaliber. So they were all sent out like that :mad:

1. Please use flash utility AWDFLASH v8.24F to update AN7 BIOS.
2. Fixed the problem that after pressing "F8" for OC on the fly then press ESC, the reading on the screen will be distorted.
3. Fixed the wake on ring fail problem.
4. Fixed the problem that SATA hard disk will not respond after resuming from S3 mode.
5. Update DRAM DMI information and revise the wording of memory status from "DDR SDRAM at Bank" to "DDR at DIMM" in the system configuration table.
6. Fixed the problem that the DRAM timing is not changed after save and exit BIOS.
7. Enhance SATA device stability.
8. Add resume from S3/S4 mode using USB devices.
9. Fixed the problem that the system cannot boot into Windows if
1) The OS is installed in the SATA hard disk when both the SATA nnd PATA hard disks are present
2) The PATA hard disk is removed after the OS installation.
10. BIOS compile date: 11/13/2003

Wow, they fixed that OC on the fly problem right away. I tried using it, and wow my screen went to hell.
