AGAIN, read the Computex articles on the 785G, they MENTION that it is based on the HD 4200. Is there a possibility that HD 4200 may have 40 shaders? Yes, but highly unlikely and only possible if ATI wants to have the HD 4300 series with the 80 Shaders. (HD 4300 and HD 4330 already have 80 Shaders).
Think of it this way, the 3870 had 320 Shaders, and the 4670 has 320 shaders. So not all HD 4xx0 cards need to have more shaders than the HD 3xx0 cards for them to be part of the new architecture.
