Sorry for asking a question out of this thread´s topic; Will AMD produce a 35w~45w Phenom II X2 cpu:confused: I WANT TO UPGRADE MY HTPC cpu, or should i buy a 5050e and be done with it.

i don't have the proc yet,, i was just palnning to buy it and when i ask,the store just only 0922apmw batch..

btw. i use DFI 790FXB-M2RSH with 0310 BIOS,and successfully unlocked x3..is my mobo capable to unlock x2??(let say the proc is capable to run @ x4)

I haven't seen any unlocking results on the DFI so not sure. I would definitely go for the later batch 0922 over the earlier, but really it's probably luck of the draw until we get some more results in.

Although, This is a DDR3 MBO.

@lamby_splendid, all MBO's that were able to unlock X3 should be able to do the same with 550 X2. You should only look for the right BIOS version, if DFI would release a new BIOS that could disable core unlocking via new CPU MicroCode.

thx for answering..i think i got right BIOS as im able to unlock x3 successfully :)

maybe i will go for x2 550 tommorrow,wish me luck guys! :up:

My Kingston's had issues when using the auto setting on this board. I set manual 1333 6.6.6 21 auto volts, and 1600 7.7.7 23 1.7v and had no issues. Give this a try, plus try one stick at a time, also populate the white memory slots if not already doing so.

Hey Guys,

I have been cruising around here ever since i got my Phenom II X2 550. I have been playing around with ACC to see how it affects the stability. Without increasing any voltages, [other then CPU core to 1.4], i was able to unlock the cores but not get it stable. Without increasing voltages of NB and memory, i was able to stress the core with IBT 30 instances at Standard load, and Medium data set with OCCT. When i run with heavier loads, Maximum with IBT and Large Data Set with OCCT, i was only able to get 3-4 iterations with IBT, and 40 mins with OCCT.

Then i increased the NB and memory voltages by +.05v [on CPU as well as the NB]. The CPU voltage is fixed at 1.4. I was able to run 1 HR on OCCT Large Data set, and able to pass 15 iterations with "Very High" load using IBT[4 GB]. But when i increased the memory usage to 6 GB, it failed at the 6th iteration.

Now i increased the voltage of the NB by 0.1v+, and currently running IBT at 6.25 GB load. I am seeing about 40 GFlops speed.

My other components are GA-MA790X-UD4 with 8 GB DDR2-800 [Corsair 6400-C5 modules]. Hopefully i will get it stable without increasing the voltages anymore.:) If this thing passes, i'm going to buy GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P to make it my own :).. Time to say good bye to Foxconn Blackops and Core 2 Duo E6400

All right.. :) it passed 15 iterations of IBT with 6.5GB :)

I've got 0918BPMW. I set ACC to % +2, orthbirdge Voltage increased to 1.2v, CPU NB increased by +0.1v and CPU increased to 1.45v :)

I ordered GA-MA790XT-UD4P.. I will try to see if i can lower the voltages with that beast:).

Nice, hope that 0918 unlocks as well for you.

I'm still pretty skint at the moment, just waiting on £750 to go into my account from my paypal account :rolleyes:

So I'm kinda thinking of asking someone on here to test the 0919 chip I have to see if it unlocks on their board.
