I have a thing that I need an entire platform to fit perfectly. So AM3 mobo, with AM3 CPU with DDR3 Ram.

I bet you'll see shortly. High-leakage chips are best for overclocking.. and the better cooling the better.

There is a small group at AMD that is all about performance. I think this is sort of the revival of the FX.

but that's on 32bit

on 64 bit my cpu runs 200 mhz slower and tops out at 3.9ghz under high end water (45°C load temp 0911 EPMW)

but i'd be please if you can tell me how to get this chip over 4ghz :)

Looks good either way, would be nice for AMD to release a really high end product, even if it has a higher price tag, something to compete with i7 would be nice, :P

I got a PII 920 the other day, an ES, and it looked very much like that second picture in the review. Even says "not for resale" with the same font:p: To me, this looks pretty damn real:D

istanbul 2435 2.6ghz 6 core is a 75W ACP package so that is approx 95-105W desktop TDP, soon there will be a 2.8-2.9 version in the server SE part with 105W ACP which is 125W TDP so what clock are you expecting in a 140W?

right, on 32bit, on 64bit i have too +- 200MHz slower (i have BIOS profiles for 32 and 64 bit system :) )
I have Gigabyte MA790X-UD4, vcore 1.475, is the best for high clock by me:up:
