PPC's is pretty decent with their rates, and as long as you choose USPS Express and the order's not a huge one, 90% of the time you won't have to pay customs fees. There isn't much they can do though - they're as much at the mercy of the postal system as anyone is.Quote:

Hmmm...wouldn't Alphacool piss off all their suppliers by killing off their other reseller clients in Europe? I'm sure the suppliers wouldn't want to see a monopoly either since that means they are stuck with Alphacool in Europe, no matter how poor a business partner Alphacool turns out to be or how late the payments are coughed up.
Whats next? KFC sueing the state of Kentucky and anyone that sells fried food or chicken products?

this is wrong - alphacool has nothing to do with aquatuning !! Rudnicki is not involved with Alphacool since many years.....just to make this point clear :)

As much as you wish people like this to suffer the consequences of stupid actions they more than likely won't as they have a huge customer base in Germany and Eastern Europe where people might not take as much offence towards a move like this.
Also before jumping the gun on them, they are not ceasing to offer other company products nor call them their own, however its whether or not they do that is when it becomes a serious issue.
fair comment, however what other reason would a major player like Aquatuning have to register all these names/trademarks ?
Money mainly, if you think about it they've registered a few of the big names in watercooling who have the greatest potential to grow so when they look to expand their operations into europe they'll have to register the company and they won't be able to do so. Therefore the only option is to enter an agreement to purchase the registered name from them
The strategy appears to be to block other retailers from selling these products. There's a discussion that has started over at Luxx where someone mentioned this is not the first time this has been done so it looks like something they may actually be able to get away with. If so, all I can say is absolutlely pathetic.

I don't think it can technically stop them selling the products, I think it can stop them from advertising the products but maybe international copyright law will over rule them all. Regardless it was an expensive and idiotic move by a bunch of people who a lot of people liked to purchase from. Hopefully they do get prosecuted under anti competition law for this moveQuote:

I guess the biggest issue there is there's no international patent regulation really...and the other issue is they will never accept to discuss anything publicly.
OMG they got Yate Loon and even Hailea!?!? Hailea is like an AQUARIUM pump maker...just so happens that some of their pumps can be ran outside water.
And WTH, "Dye Bomb"?!?! That's just a nickname given by Primochill for the colored dyes. If it costed $3K to do this, shouldn't they hit PC ICE/PC Pure first?
OMG, i've been customer from Aquatuning for many years, but after reading this topic and that crap they try to pull with the Feser products, i'll never order anything from them ever agian.
Back here in the Netherlands we also have HighFlow , luckily, which has a rather large range of products just like Aquatuning.
Aquatuning, may lose all your customers and burn in Hell for this , you bunch of greedy bastards!

I've been buying from them for quite a while too, but no more.
I've always liked HighFlow and Freddy's service is A+, so I'll just be spending more money at HighFlow from now on.
