Anyhow 2.3v Vdimm volts seem to stable on these new IMc's. DDR2 has come a long way thats all i know. lower volts is still better and I wish i had a AM3 Mobo...must save beer cans for that one:D

Ok so I rolled back my BIOS on my Biostar TA790GX A2+ to the one from January.The latest BIOS has an option called "Core Leveling" and the only options in there are Dual-Core and Single-Core, which I assume forces the cpu to stay in those modes instead of quad-core. And now my 550 is a quad-core!

Still priming my 550 for stability @3.7GHz. Will go up to 3.8 soon! And to think, I got all sad when I looked at the box with the processor still inside and saw the 0918BPMW batch. Heck I even ordered another 550 from Newegg after my initial booting failures, then as soon as I unlocked it to quad I cancelled the order immediately. LOL nothing like the Phenom II unlock lottery!!
And I guess the older BIOS doesn't increase the HT no matter what setting, since it doesn't recognize the 550, but instead as B50. I don't care though, since HT doesn't really matter, and NB does (2000MHz so far, will play with that later). :D
Stepping wise this is a really good thing...Shows that pre 9XXteen's,
you know below 0920 has the same ability..
This im shure will make others happy too. Dont worry about HT so much if it works . NB and Ram can be tweaked to justify the HT pretty much.
Note: 4200mhz is being a challenge for me:rofl:.
