When can we expect this because iam building a class 760 now but if this isnt gonna take long to get like about 2 weeks or so i wait for it
is that block going to be good for all of them (specifically the e760) i see no need for block only for the e759 since its fail in comparison to the cheaper one
I would love to put this on my classified, dang Vreg is running hot hot hot! also that nf 200 chip is mighty toasty
the design of the block looks great
The only thing left is to bling it up a bit... perhaps consider including a led that hooks into the headers for the stock heat sink.
a red pulsating EK on there would look sweet
one piece is the way to go.less text on the blocks, maybe just EK.
dark theme with red led would finish it off.
I'm sure you would get a lot of users wanting this block, myself included.
well done on the design and good luck with it.
so this is what we want:
the block
dark/regular nickle plated (2 versions maybe, one for looks the other for cost effectiveness)
LED light theme of some sort to better tie in with the classified
less text... much less -- keep it simple (KISS)
and most of all... a reasonable price...
i'd think you'd have a market for it around the 120$ price point... anything over that though and I think you'll see a sharp drop in sales like the BP has
Nah not possible.
I'm thinking 120-150 would be competitive. BP one is 70+ bucks more. I wouldn't shell out the difference.
Adding the light would up costs, nickel plated top would start to enter BP territory.
Maybe interchangeable face plates that could be placed on the acetyl or acrylic top. Thin metal plates in chrome/nickel, and a red one. You could charge like 10 dollars extra for the plates. But in general the one block solution is a great idea.
Oh, wow! Do you have any other full-board blocks in mind?
Nice but this time try putting in a sound card and graphics card before you manufacture the block, and see that they can fit in correctly without problems.
Hoping that this would be available when I make my move to H20(probably towards the end of next month). Since I am a rookie @ WC, I think this 1 block soultion would most probably help me atleast as far as tube routing goes, if not anything else.I would also like to know if the top 1xPCIE slot would be useable with this on.
Like the 1 block concept and agree with WL that if everything is cooled that should be then this will replace my BP just to reduce loop tubing.
Good concept EK, what time line are we looking at for availability?
I think Eddy is going to come back and go, "Holy cow, replies much?"
Well done, Eddy
full board solution + less tubing + EK = winner :D
good job eddy! your design allows for very clean tube routing!
Thank you all for the thumbs up and suggestions. Some replays here:
I don't think this would be needed, or wise, as the whole concept and meaning of one block would be ruined.
This is what I will have to investigate. It was hard to get this board. Hopefully the physical design is the same for all classified boards.
The bottom channel could be bigger, bit it is not needed as this would not make block 0,5% less restrictive. I went with a clear water path without any disturbance.
Second, yes it has to be and it will be usable
It could be done, of course.
I will definitely think about it.
It should go to prototyping tomorrow and I expect to make it available for resale in max 2 weeks.
If I understand you right, the upper level top (small one) would be made of acrylic material and put in in LEDs? I was thinking the same.
It could be also done out of coloured acrylic (red/blue/green), + LED. What do you think? Perhaps sell it as an option?
We might. But cant promise anything yet.
Sure will :)
Like the Idea of colored acyrilic on the upper piece with LED!! Nickle option to match my GPU blocks!!
I really like this design. Very well done.
I would think that the pricing would be crucial for this block, but I guess it's never gonna be as expensive as the BP solution.
Offering the option to have the top part in colored acrylic would be great, IMO.
