Damn man, is that going to be your 24/7 setup? I got my 920 d0 at 4.3 on 1.32v. Time to go and play. :D

I correct what I wrote in my post:
They are two bits which lock the Memory Configuration Space access in Core i7:
One is named MEM_CFG_USER_LOCKED (Bus:255, Dev:0, Fct 0, OffSet:88 bit[1])
and the other MEM_CFG_LOCKED (Bus:255, Dev:0, Fct 0, OffSet:88h bit[0]).
Both are Read Only bits, but MEM_CFG_USER_LOCKED bit can be unlocked under Win
by setting at 1 the bit MEM_CFG_UNLOCK (Write Only): Bus:255, Dev:0, Fct 0, OffSet:90h bit[1]. (It was OffSet 90h, and not 88h)
Where are localized these settings in the PCI configuration space?
I do not remember have read something about it in the datasheet.
Glad to see things keep moving on.
D0 is such a monster
Not even dreamed about 4,6 GHz when i start trying to get a BR about X-mas.
Luckily it was that late  that i didn't have to waste my money on C0 :ROTF: :shakes:
;)
those are actually from earlier beta bioses, but the new stuff that G25 brings is amazing... been asking for that for ages, glad they finally got it all added and working, at least some of it :toast:Quote:
Added "CPU Hardware Prefetcher" item.
Modify "DRAM Voltage" default from 1.85V to 1.70V for "Memory Profile Select"
Auto and "Virtual XMP" Enabled.
Modify "CPU VTT (UnCore) Voltage" default from added 5 step to 9 step for
"Memory Profile Select" Auto and "Virtual XMP" Enabled.
memset and cpu tweaker can work on evga and gigabyte boards?
as in adjust timings and not just read them? :o
CPU-Tweaker work now with eVGA, GigaByte, DFI and Biostar motherboards.
MemSet be and will be Read Only with Core i7.I have no time for add Write feature in this soft. (Reading is easy, writing is more difficult, particulary du to Triple channel).
this may help some people
set QPI DRIVE strength 10-25 and the QPI latency to 100.
It will help you to get more FSB.
before you ask no i dont know got this from the engineers so give it a try
have fun
thanks
Felix
thanks for the information i will see if we unlock for the next beta so cpu-tweaker should fully work :D
thanks
sweet! :toast:
Witch QPI CPU/IHO both ?
Atm i am on 224Bclk @ 21 @ 1,488V PCIe @ 102

on air? stable? schweeet! :toast:
Sch0cK very nice results, share some settings with us :)

very fast board
Saaya, you don't want to do a lickle break down on what these new features on this G25 do; do you...
I mean the CPU latency's, drives strengths. how will they help me overclock... This Bus clock feature, i'm assuming clocking it higher brings increased performance to the graphics card...or allows you to push/overclock the graphics card more. Hehe i do not really understand what they do and Saaya your jobless so smeones got to keep you busy through-out the day. We don't want tou getting bored now do we. :D
higher pciE clocks help ocing bclock, why, nobody really knows afaik, could have to do with the pll/clockgen on the board or the pll inside the x58 ioh, or it affects the crossbar between qpi and pciE somehow and allows it to clock qpi/bclock higher...
about the other settings im not sure, i think its not really drive strength but signal termination, so basically it helps to keep the signal integrity at high clocks so it doesnt fluctuate too much. but im mostly guessing about this... thhats at least what i recommended the engineers to do while i still worked there, and now they apparently got it done. or this is something entirely diferent... im not sure...
No,
its on Water

But OK for me :yepp:

Hi guys! im runnin' on this board since yesterday and i have some... weird bugs. OFC i have G25 beta bios, and board is funny with it (runs very well except what i'll say).
First of all - please tell me how to set the multiplier to x21 - many screens represents that multi.
And then - some of screens shows 2:10 multi for mems - WTF? My i7 920 (ES) and Fox can get only 2:6 :(. What's wrong? What em I supposed to do?
Anyway - BloodRage is magnificant mobo. Runs always, get up always and never get angry for my mistakes.
I have flashed back to P07 after two days aswell, I could still not get the Bclk above 220 which was my limit on P07. But my problem is the CPU seems to require more volts with G25 and as more volts = more heat I will stick with P07 for now.Quote:
Tbh after 2 days of playing around with it, benching and so on, i'm finding thr G25 less stable than before (P07), i can't seem to get as tighter timings on my ram as before at the same speed on the G25
The thing I like about G25 is seeing all the Ram timings.
PS,
Thanks Carl, Sascha and Bill for keeping QF thread ticking over.
I'm finding all sorts of problems, but I'll settle for G25. Doesn't give me anything the other BIOSes didn't, really, but I'm satisfied, no real problems aside from that your RAID won't boot if you set it highest in the boot priority list, it has to be at the bottom. :P
meh, so those boot problems are still there... hope that can be sorted out...
DaRoN, you might forget setting uncore multi to 2x the mem multi, also, you need more vtt to get uncore and hence mem clocks up, and some mem needs relaxed timings and higher vdimm to clock to 1600 or higher :)
First post. (1st time I had anything useful to say)
I really need to get a D0 chip.
I have to push a LOT more voltage to get my C0 up there, and it's not stable for any benching above 4.63.
G25 has moved my Bclock wall from 221.5 to 225 with PCIe at 102.

On water.
920 C0 | # 3839A632
Bclk @ 225 | 4713 MHz
Vcore @ 1.66V +400mV
VTT @ +400mV
Vdr @ enabled
IOH @ 1.56V
PCIe @ 102
CPU and IOH skew 400ps.
I do like the PCIe abilities in G25. Thank you very much for that! Hope they can push it further.
In G25 I have to clear CMOS a lot more than with P06 or G22 (P07 never worked well for me), and it keeps changing my PCIe to 138.
saaya i discovered that the mem multi is directly bounded with uncore multi. When i set up 20x for UC i can set 2:10 for memory. For 18x mem multi is 2:8, for 16x UC, mem multi is only 2:6. I didnt knew that before.
Besides i thought that my limitter is QPI link. I realised that i am wrong yesterday when i booted up with ~4GHz QPI ling and almost 4GHz UnCore clocks.
Huh, i have to try more ;)
