RAID is a member who had a really nice torture rack setup
good luck Shazza! I do have a thing for torture racks... ;)

Check out RAID's Build Log
Just trying to keep busy. More pics of the A20 build here.
see following post ...
hmmmnnn ... I started to title this thread "Shazza does the Torture Rack," but thought better of it ;)
oh noes..
shazza u lost 4000 points in your power level because its an AMD and not an i7.
I'll give you 1000 XP for going AMD. I too wouldn't mind to try it out after a few i7 systems myself.
At first I thought this build log was going to be a torture device for poor teddy bears but I'm glad to see it's turned into something not so devious. For some reason, I'm really digging the color scheme on that motherboard.
Good luck with the build. :)
Been tempted by that board, but still thinking i7 to be honest. Still undecided...
Looks like it's going to be a good build!

:X
Iono... that XP would be dependant on how high you overclock it.
Because your judging a i7 920 D0 vs. a phenom 955... Thats like you going back from a gatling gun to a rifle. .
Bex i have a few pals that went from i7 to amd for kicks like shazza did...
There word to me... Dont... :X
Remember shazza has 3 i7's so she must be bored of intel.
AMD haters clearly were not at the XS party at CES.
i am no fan of intel or go crazy about it but i am glad there people doing phenom II watercooling builds :D
+ the fact that i liked it when amd guy said " real men use real cores"
shazza are going to have 2 4890s?
Should have some updates in the next day or so. Ran into a little problem with my radiators - was planning to use Swiftech MCR220s, but the barb spacing is wrong (argghhh, just assumed the reference to Black Ice rads on the DD site referred to fan spacing - guess that's my Mountain Mods training). Sorting that out, but also have some sleeving to do.
And, as far as Intel vs. AMD - I'm just interested in checking out the differences - I'm betting I will hardly be able to tell a difference with what I do. And, I want to see what the heat differences are, since this is for the HTPC.
@Cosmos - no 4890s, using my 4870x2 - just one for now, cause I really didn't see much advantage when I ran two.
Awesome!
Looking forward to the clock results already :)
Shazza... were going though withdrawl...
wheres our fix?
Slow going here ... I'm doing a lot of "Visualizing;" Maybe I bit off more than I can chew with this acrylic case
Radiator Fans linked - looks simple, but took quite a long time. Removing the LED wires from each corner is an absolute pain as they are glued/shellacked into the grooves.

New radiators arrived from PPCs (shipped within an hour of ordering, I might add); Magicool Extreme 240s - pics below show comparison to Swiftech MCR220:

The blue on the Magicool is just the plastic covering on the metal. As you can see, the Magicool is a bit shorter, and a tad thicker than the Swiftech.
Oh screw you logged, now I'll be looking for faces in any picture containing a fan.
It's like rear car bumpers. All those little 3 door, 1.5L cars have smilie faces.
The worse offender
Oh and nice amd build shazza. =]
Thanks, NaeKuh! I do have zipties ;)
I've got a few issues I'm dealing with now:
1) which pump / reservoir to go with. I only want to use one pump, and I have both the 355 and 655. Just not sure if/how I want to set up a reservoir. Would prefer to keep as much as possible inside the case.
2) my PSU is de-pinned and ready to sleeve, but I'm trying to figure out how best to end the sleeving at the entrance to the PSU itself - don't want to end up with a big glob of heatshrink ...
3) working on figuring out the best tube routing - I'd like to avoid using metal fittings like 45s and 90s if possible.
Hey Shazza, I've been following your work for a while and it's a real inspiration!
This build is looking very promising!
Keep up the good work :)
shazza primochill typhoon res/pump it.

you can mount this in the front bay, and route the tubing behind though the rear 120mm.
I love the idea of the typhoon III... Cant wait for it to come out!
+1 with typhoon III
you can also do a ek top + 655 with a dlink to the bay res if you cant wait for the typhoon III
