Bladesinger7x: I seriously doubt you damaged the chip, it probably just needs a little bump on the IMC. Hopefully GBT will fix the setting on the next bios release.
What I did was use the little utility in the first message of this thread.

Set perfromance mode NBvid to 1.30v's and powersaving mode to 1.25v.
It will apply the voltage as soon as Windows boots, just make sure you turn off CnQ and C1E in bios, as this utility will take care of it for you.
DL the "i386" version for 32 bit OS, or "AMD64" version for 64 bit.
It's a nice little utility and there is alot more info in the thread if you need it.
