I had just distilled in my loop for a bit, nothing else, and stuff grew in my drain line :lol2:
I bought some PT nuke over a year ago, still have some left. Only takes 1 or 2 drops.
Another option is silver plated barbs :)
And how long before the plating wears off? I wouldn't trust those barbs to last more than a year at the most.Quote:

I've got 20 EK barbs at home that the plating came off of. These barbs were used for a little over a year, with distilled water + 2 drops of PTNuke in each loop. Why did they eventually wear off?Quote:

Hmm weird I've never seen that before. All mine are still perfect coming on two years in a couple months.
