I suppose the extra wad of cache does its job with the Phenom, it'll kick every old CPU's butt if compared directly. Wasn't expecting it to beat a VIA CPU at 1GHz+ though. :D

I remember back in the day when i had to use turbo-button to overclock 486 from 40mhz to 66mhz for playing doom. After some time it would crash but i was just too young to know that better heatsink+fan might have done the trick to get it stable :)
