Sorry, guys, I'm not updating this anymore. I originally intended it to share my research into which batch to buy and to seek feedback from others. My 3842A938 does 4200MHz just a tad below 1.4V.. & 4GHz around 1.34V.
It's definately not the worst FPO out there..
batch numbers are an excellent guide to getting a good clocking cpu... but the more i read the more it seems that with i7's it is the whole pack that has to me thought of
ie ram and mobo are also important considerations... and especially the settings
as it is... i just missed out at a local supplier on a well batched 920; now content to wait for d0's to come downunder
From what I see 3844's are also amazing overclockers and they are some of the newest batches out there currently.
