Great buy GAR, sure its not that great a chip, then again, its about as good as mine, and mine cost £90!
Theerefore, unlike you, im hoping my chip to last a little longer, so im now stable at 3.6 (9x400) at 1.32v

think I found my 24/7 setting on my current setup. I'm really having a hard time on the EP45T mobo (bios divider issues) I can't get into windows over 480FSB... keeps locking up... while the CPU did 500FSB on the P5Q Pro...so it's a pure mobo limitation with this cpu ( E8500 benched at 550FSB on it, go figure)
Anyway 4ghz at 1.296Vcore ( 1.325 in bios) isn't that bad after all... PLL 1.45 and FSB Term at 1.20

Some FSB term voltage 1.28 instead of 1.20 allowed me to lower Vcore to 1.28 for 4ghz ops...

The new RO stepping must clock much better than the oler MO stepping, im at 7x500 at 1.272v!
F5 bios for my mobo seems to be far better, less itchy to setup and I can run lower Nb volts and co... 520 at the moment is the max with these rams as they top out at C8 around 1670Mhz

EDIT :Tested some more with the ram dividers and 535 is the absolute highest I can get into windows, 540 leaves me with a black screen (not even a windows splash screen)
Nice work, i suddenly cant have a 500fsb, regardless of the volts I put through it, it gets the vista loading screen, but bars ever come, no blue screen either, just sits there.....
I now at my settings in my sig, I was working at improving my RAM bandwidth, and I got it up to 1050ish bootable, at cas5 2.032v, (doesnt like more)
Couldnt get into windows at that, not surprising really, but now everything is playing up!
Don't you have like a profile option in the Biostar bios, the Asus and Giga's haev them and once I find a good OC I save that... (it goes lost ofcourse when flashing a new bios)
I knew my E7200 sucked. SOB won't even do 3.75GHz stable @ 1.45v  Bought it OEM for about £62 at least though. Its a M0 SLAPC, VID 1.15v - 1.225v. Maybe it just doesn't like my P5Q Pro.. maybe I should throw it in the TPower and see what happens.. :\
I've gotten my E7500 to 3.8 so far but i'm still tweaking. It's at 1.35v but I think I can either lower the voltage or raise the speed. Sadly, there seems to be an FSB hole around 400 when using this 780i board.
Just got the chip today. Think temperature sensors are stuck, only getting 33/30 by CoreTemp and RealTemp.
CoreTemp says VID is 1.100. Is that good?

don't cores go up once you start using the CPU ? Take it slow mate, I did some 450FSB before moving up with a few nites of folding at home to burn in the CPU... hope to see some nice 24/7 clocks soon !!
Thanks for the quick answer mate.
I am still a bit unclear about methods of burning in. I have never done this with any other chip, but as far as I understand, the idea is to get the FSB up as high as possible on stock voltage(which in my case is 1.1??).
Amidoinitrite?
Seems like I'm working with a complete dud here.
Trying to get 3 hours of OCCT stable at 340x10 @ 1.28V. Failed after 2 hours 45 mins with 1.26V.
Although I haven't touched VTT, just left it on auto. I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make?
I that OCCT small data set you are failing ? I would set FSB term ( 1.26) and PLL (1.56) myself...
Yes, it is. I'm trying 1 hour OCCT now to get an idea of max, will try 7-8 hours(even though I'm not very fond of it) when I find some max settings.
Seems that 1.31V is stable, using 1,2725V VTT at the moment.
Board doesn't have GLT or PLL voltage settings. Damn you MSI :-(

The confusion will come to no end. I'm now getting some CPU temperatures, but they seem very low. The one called 'TMPIN0' responds quickly to load, while 'TMPIN1' just stays at 28-29 degrees.
It just doesn't seem likely that I'm getting THAT low load temperatures on the CPU, on the other hand I've never owned a 45nm before, so I don't really know what it's like.

Seems that this is about the end for me. Unless I choose to go above 1.3625V.

fsb wall ~430 :( but can go up to 445fsb on idle.

which stepping do i believe???

I would go for CPU-Z mate, also you reverest edition is rather old, better get the new 5.0...
Got mine together, got 1 bad stick of ram, so I'm only using one for now. So far so good, going to try for 3.6 after I finsh this, run OCCT while I'm gone. Get back later.
I believe i'll top at 3.9. I can get it into windows at 4.0 but can't get it past linpack with as much as 1.4v.
I hate my E7200. Maybe I need to lap the IHS more. Apparently one core is 5c hotter than the other even when idle.. something don't seem quite right with that.
If you hate it Ket, pop off the IHS :D
I tried to do some air benches at 4.7Ghz but need 1.6Vcore to stabilise it ( temps go over 105°C and things start to throttle ) This on a lapped TRUE with 1500rpm fan... don't think the contact between the cores and the IHS is good as it already idles at over 30-35°C at stock speeds
