Looking good!! Subscribed for sure!
i like it!
Those fans look amazing!! Can't wait to see the rest of this one.
with all those calories from that Kit Kat and Liquor pumped .. time for you to show us moar pics :D
hehe... not much more progress lately... sanding down radiators and other parts is very time consuming, and i cant get down to any more sleeving, because the psu i will put into the build is the psu im using on my current machine. i do however have a little question regarding loop layout...
I know lots of people recommend the shortest loop, and others recommend a rad before the cpu... but im a bit stuck...
I decided im going single loop (so now have to choose a pump either 655 with ek rev2 top or 355 with xspc top) the loop isnt very restrictive my blocks are: GTZ, 2 feser rads (quad and a triple), EKgtx280 FC block, Swiftech micro res v2, and bei fei's NB/SB and single mosfet block.
but seeing as the case is, i find the shortest tubing to be 320 rad (front) ->gpu->cpu->NB/SB->Mosfet->quad rad (top)->res->pump... plus it gives a nice tubing layout, lots of parallel tubes in a vertical layout.
Getting the quad in before the cpu will add atleast an extra foot (or two) to my tubing. Will doing that improve my temperatures a great deal? or 1-2 degrees? and i dont like the fact of having a tube go from the gpu all the way to the top in through the whole case (come to think of it, just that tube will be 2 feet the MM 24 is a monster).... i find it quite useless and ugly...
Also ive been pondering as to which way to make the rear case fans blow... i was thinking into the case that way i would have 5 fans blowing in (rear fans and triple radiator) in 4 fans blowing out (quad on top)... This would also help the quad a little bit more fresh air from the rear of the case...
any ideas? thoughts? ....complaints?! (FU if u have any :P)
nice build, im using the exact same fans on my PA 120.3's and they work like a dream!
what cable braid is that? is it anygood?
keep up the work
loving the color scheme so far! cant wait for more pics.
This will be a GREAT PC!!!
My dream rig! (i7 920+corsair 1600+p6t deluxe...)
WTH... i was looking at my emails, and i realized that my order for Bei Feis blocks were extremely delayed... so after a bit of searching, and a bit of parcel tracking, i find out they have been in customs since the 14th of feb awaiting a customs tax payment! so i called them up to see why i had not been contacted to pay. this is what the conversation went like:
Me: I just realized there is a a parcel in my name, awaiting payment.
Customs dude: Oh... Hi! can you give me your tracking number?
Me: sure its.... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Customs dude: ok, yeah, we were about to ship that back to the sender tomorrow!
Me: What?!
Customs dude: Yeah, we had not heard from you, so we figured you didnt know the sender.
Me: I was unaware this item was in customs until today!
Customs dude: Did you not receive a letter in the mail from us?
Me: nope.
Customs dude: Well, no worries, would you like to pay for it?
Me: yes please, and if possible can you tell me when it will be delivered?
Customs dude: Next day, give me your details
Me: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Customs dude: and your invoice number?
Me: what invoice number?
Customs dude: the one located on the top right corner of the mail we sent you.
Me: As i said before, you didnt send me one!
Customs dude: Well unfortunately sir, we cant let you pay for it, unless you have the invoice number!
Me: But you never sent me the letter, how am i suppose to have it?!
Customs dude: One second sir.... <long delay of about 10 minutes>.... Yes, it seems we couldnt contact you because we didnt have your phone number!
Me: <thinking to myself... WTF is he talking about.... he had my address...> well my phone number is XXXXXXXXXXX.
Customs dude: Ok, we will call you once some point this week to arrange a payment and delivery.
Me: <again in my head FFS> so just to make sure you wont ship the parcel back... correct?
Customs dude: no. wait for a representative to contact you within the week.
Me: Thanks... (i think)

so the moment i hang up, i get a call...guess who? the same EXACT GUY!
Customs: yes hello, Michael? We have a package for you awaiting payment.
Me: oh really? (no :banana::banana::banana: sherlock)
Customs dude: yes, would you like us to give you the invoice number?
me: yeah (ffs)!
Customs dude: its XXXXXXXXXX
me: ok, can i pay for it?
customs dude: im not in charge of that section, please call this number..... XXXXXXXXXXXXX
me: ok... click!
so i call that number, and its HIM again!
took me well over an hour and 3 phone calls to the same guy to pay for something... all i can say is WOW! then they wonder why people turn to alcohol! Cant they jsut make life easier adn elt me pay from the first phone call? do they have to make me do a billion things before i sort out what i want?!
PS: sorry for the wall of text, just ridiculous how slow the public sector can be...
thats the funniest thing I've heard all day man
sorry to hear they gave you trouble. :(
Terrible....just Terrible.
I have had to deal with customs a few times, and it has never been a positive experiance. However nothing as bad as that.
I hope you get your parts soon, and I would cautiously watch my credit card...never know what that retard did.
I lawled at that conversation. Sounds like a conversation that I went through with UPS.
Not to hijack just thought ud get a kick out of this too
UPS Customer Support: Hello thanks for calling UPS can I please have your tracking number.
Me: Sure it is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
UPS: Okay hold one moment.... 5 minutes later.... okay that was delayed until tomorrow, which is actually saturday so u will get it monday
Me: well the tracking number said it was delayed, im just curious why since it was shipped from a warehouse about 3 hours south from where i live
UPS: there was a bad storm in the mid-west
Me: But im in New Jersey
UPS: Yes the bad storm affected your shipment
Me: Sigh... Can I pick it up at the UPS place tomorrow
UPS: I can't garuntee it will be there due to weather
Me: But its sunny outside
UPS: Still weather could be a problem, these bad storms affect all shipments.
Me: Okay ill get it monday... forget it... hang up.
Im serious about that... no joke even though it sounds like it is.

Mosfet + NB/SB getting acquainted before a long marriage!
Now, i am a bit scared, cause now the hardest part (in my books) is coming up. Removing the stock solutions... Any advice? Ive heard something about putting it in a zip-lock bag in the freezer, heating it up (heat gun or just a hair dryer?)... Any advice?
Looking pretty nice, interested to see how it goes. keep the updates coming.
as for removing the stock sinks, I would try the hairdryer first. get it nice and heated and then do your best to do a light twisting motion; avoiding directly pulling it off. I have only really seen major issues when the TIM is really old and hardened. that is when you really start to see components getting ripped off. I think you iwll be fine with some heat.
Looking very nice so far. Great pics too!
Ill be keeping my eye on this one..;)
should i heat the backside of it, or the actual nb/sb mosfet blocks from the top?
nice looking blocks there!
what braiding/heatshrink are u using here?
MDPC-X sleeving...
Any progress mate :)
