you need to keep a ratio 1.8Ghz NB: 3.0ghz core. you need more core or something ?
is this because NB/L3 cache is bigger/improved then Agena ?

Only tried LN2 :D
Thanks, I'll try AM3 next time
Thank you kyosen. My CPU is engineering sample and using latest AMD 45 nm process so there will be soon improvement in retail parts.
I'll install XP and try to break 11 seconds in spi1m this weekend.
what
no 32M SuperPi :D
unreal nb and amd spi. Good job :D
Ok I did today very quick testing today with Windows XP:
Best SuperPi 1M result I managed to run was 11,234 seconds which I believe is new AMD SuperPi 1M world record with 0,001 s difference to kyosen :D

Cooling: F1 EE + LN2
Vcore: 1,8125 V (bios)
NB: 1,45 V
DDR: 2,24 V
HT: 1,24 V
Motherboard: Asus M4A79 Deluxe
OS: Windows XP + SP3
Tweaks:
- Silver theme
- Turn off not necessary processes (printer spooler, etc)
- Realtime
- Affinity CPU 0
- Close exlporer
I'm not very good superpi tweaker so I count on high MHz on CPU & NB :)
(good tips are always welcome) ;)
Congrats on new WR Sampsa!
Just 0.001s faster than previous WR  :ROTF:
BTW why so high latencies on mem?
Alright, now pull out the helium out again already and break into the 10's :D
Your efficiency is definitely in the upper echelon here, looks like the 4GB is helping out. What's funny is that the Vista score is pretty damn good already in it's own right, faster than I'dve expected.
:eek2:
very nice congrats...
maybe a tighter mem timings will help ^_^
hope to see 32m soon...:D
worked really hard for that 1m record - congratz sampsa and keep pushing :D
Very nice.
Btw. I think that OC was better on Vegas due motherboard, not chip. ASUS and DFi really arent comparable (Im saying that cause I have ASUS 790FX mobo and also tried DFIs 790FX - same chip, same cooling difference about 250MHz..).
Wow, that is one nice NB clock!
Great to see.
Who would have thought to see an AMD "chip" running low 11's in SPi1M a year ago. :)
(And this is not really a "bench" well suited for AMD CPU architecture in the first place).
Now I find it fun to bench AMD again.
Sampsa
how about Super Pi runs on Windows 7 Beta?
awesome work Sampsa , you did a good job
keep pushing it
0.001s difference!?...don't be kidding, Sampsa:)
Now I've reached 11.156s...
...I could even observe 11.125s, but failed to get the screenshot:(
I found that NB 4.5G is also available for mine with higher NB voltage.
I could get 1M, 8M and 32M run with Vcpu-nb: 1.6500V setting.
And also I could reach NB 4.6GHz;)
It was not stable for 1M run, but enough for 128k run.
I'll try to get 11.10x in next time with higher NB clock:)
kyosen, good work! :)
I'll try higher Vcpu-nb and 5 GHz next time ;)
great work Kyosen-san
dewa dewa
Phew, you guys don't go step by step, but leap by leap it seems. :D
The AM3 DDR3 variants will take you both sub-11s 4sure (do I hear sub-10s?!).
