Yeah, phase is a more expensive, but much much MUCH better solution.

TRUE+LAPPED+washer mod+2 120mm SCYTHE 133cfm
with this configuration true is the best air cooler .. ;)
If this thing didnt beat the TRUE it would be sad I mean it is the size of a small person. It could cool like 100 computers at once.
Lol!
I would get it, if it was affordable, I don't mind the look, it would fit in my case
man that is 1 cool looking unit !
but the price is going to be the killer :D
for me tec's are the future :D
So wheres the reviews saying that it beats the TRUE?
Buying a TRUE today is like lottery. Some are good, but many are like a big expensive version of intel stock HS, pure crap.

V10 looks aggg
V12 looks waaay better, at least lets you enjoy the rest of the motherboard/case if you have a windowed case.
Oh well, Im already in the process of wc :D
Since you prefer pretty hardware, may i suggest this heatsink. Oh look its so cute...

I guess a user will either like the V10 or hate it but for me, I'm split down the middle based on all the information I've seen & read from the beta testers who did test the V10 back in December. I will wait for some reviews before giving the V10 a  or a
Thats a little to big though. What wa the difference between a TRUE and this load temp wise?
i thought this thing was already out?
either way... you can compare TEC to air, just like comparing water to air. not an apples to apples but none the less, the TRUE would be considered the best value, this thing coming in at $100, if it were to beat the TRUE by 10c at full load consistently then i would say it would take the crown of best value. however, i'm guessing these coolermaster things will be pure crap in terms of performance. the workmanship on the heatsinks and heatpipes especially looks like you gave a 3rd grader a 5ft section of copper pipe and a blowtorch and told them to bend it all up. looks like garbage. my money is on the TRUE. that tiny TEC with that horrible heatsink design will surely fail under any quad core load.
Has anyone done an unbiased comparision between the true and the V8? I've seen several reviews recently that show the V8 beeting the true by a degree or two. The title of this thread is True got beated.
Not looking forward to the price...
ugly huh? for all those hours you spend looking inside your computer case eh :ROTF:.
Oh yeah and they dont make windowed cases that was just a stupid comment im sorry. They make windowed cases for a reason and people use led fans and cathodes and things to make their case look good while performing exceptional Ill take performance over looks anyday but if I can have them both I will.
TRUE and im not even air cooling
I was at the cooler master party and the V12 is a concept. It may or may not be released in the future. We have to wait and see and the V10, 40% of the heat pipes is cooled by the TEC and the other 60% is cooled the old fashion way so it is very easy to compare it to the true as the TEC isn't cooling the CPU solely but adding a performance boost to what is guaranteed to be an amazing cooler. It is huge yes, but what everyone fails to realize is that cooler masters problem has always been with fans. When you buy a True you can put any fan on it but your stuck with what cooler master supplies. That alone should not put the true in the same market as then we are saying it is sold as a passive heat sink. Replace the fan on a V8 with the same fan you would put on a true and then compare the 2. I can guarantee the V8 will kill it any day.
RAGE detected!
How I detected it?
Ok, the person above is saying the V8 can beat the TRUE when the same
fans are used in both coolers.
Now lets look at his signature, and see what is the cooler he is using.... Ahh!! He is using a V8!
"If I bought it, it should be the best, right?"
so true :D
I didn't buy it or choose it. It was a review sample. You can go and read the review in the extreme forum reviews. I only spoke from what I heard and was told by the cooler master techs at their party. No rage here. I am a watercooling/phase guy lol.
Hey no problem man. We forgive you LOL!
