Not much to report today with the exception that I am 4-6 coats into painting the black, but I figured who wants to see pictures of paint drying?
One thing I need some opinions on is regarding these...

If I keep them on I will have to repaint them blue as my theme is black and blue. I am also considering just scrapping them completely. LMK, what you members think, please. Notice that they are mounted with two screws at the bottom.
I am also going to scrap the Aqua CPU mounting hardware and do something similar to BA's build.

Once again feel free to express your opinions. I am going to need all the help I can get!
I say paint them blue to match your build. The Swifty mounting hardware is the best that I have used.
Oh, nice bike.
blue like sig said, or somehow chrome them
You can see how they look in blue ;)

Keep it up.
I love that bike more than any rig here :D
OMG - theSeeker is here. Nice to see you having fun with murderMod besides your obvious safari-lion-hunting-trips, bikes, pools ... :D I will send you my dining room if you like! Just drop me a PM.
Keep up the fun and if you like to have my personal advice: I - and just me myself and I - would use clear Tygon tubes with your blue coolant. Looks more luxurious than plastic blue. But that is just my personal taste, opinion, dream, desire etc. :)
I removed the shields from my R2E and it looks very similar to the M2F now. The red just didn't fit in with my build and they're easy enough to remove.
I vote for painting them ... unless you decide to do them in chrome. I think it looks better with the covers on - and Dingdong's paint job looks great.
See what you think.
Clean

I still can't decide.

Looks awesome either way man, just keep up the great work!
Can you take the picture from a little bit further back so we can how they play in the build?
+1 for clean

I have pretty much made up my mid to go with the clean look. I am also thinking about adding a chipset cooler. I don't need one but it will help me accomplish the overall look I want. Any suggestions?
Clean looks good, but with dark blue tubing a darker blue on the shield might look nicer. I have the Swifty MCW-NBMax on my MIIF. It works great and the construction is very nice.

I have decided on the clean look and I will go with the EK or BP full chipset cover.
I had my first setback. I sprayed my MB tray with the first coat of black over three primer coats and this happened:down:

I am a bit befuddled by this. I had just sprayed the final coats on the sideplates and they are fine so it wasn't the paint. The primer did not bubble on the tray or orange peel. The other spots are on the back of the tray in the same location. It looks like these spots have been heated up but that is not the case either. I did the same surface prep on all parts and this is the only that did this. The really bad part is that since the tray is polished, sanding it will totally screw it up. Obviously some of it doesn't matter because the MB will cover it but I would know that its there and I cannot live with that. I am thinking my best option is to chemically strip it and start over. This is a pisser!!
I don't know how to explain this in English, but some sorts of spray paint can't be painted over with a different paint.
These will react chemicly and the results are posted above :)
Just read the description on the spraypaint cans ;)
