So bad I was ashamed to post numbers... so my comment still stands :D
EK Supreme....
Although I like the look of the D-Tek V1 alot.
I think the v1 is better IF (big if) you use the EK barb oring just like i stated. Not only does it seal the chambers like v2 but it creates a pretty massive bow. Couple that with the 4.5mm nozzle and a good pump, this block can not be beat on a single die, I'd stake anything on this.
DOE scott, i think your right...
I just found out from dean the KL-350 is a bowed block. I Thought it was a flat block so i didnt put anywhere near the required pressure.
Ima have to retest the KL-350. It might be better then the supreme with proper pressure.. :\
The V1 is very different from the V2 like nikhsub (can't call you Scott yet, don't know you that well. ;)) is showing. The V1 really needs the nozzles and washer mod to truly perform. The V2 is just an all around great block right out of the box, no need for multiple mounts to find best orientation or the Quad insert...the V2 is just a damn good block.
Now that I have a volt hungry quad (Xeon X3350 C1) on the bench I can finally get to all the theories on these LGA775 blocks.
Hey, what about for dual core e8600(single chip like i7 lol), I have a fuzion v1 stock. My temps are pretty high I think it idles at 43C at 4.5ghz.... :( I was thinking about upgrading to a gtz or something. Do you guys think I should stay with the fuzion v1. If so what mods should I do, washer mod, any nozzle? I know it could use a lapping too, because I bought it used. Its in a single loop with mcp355 and pa120.2 and another double rad or two single rads I can't remember, either way it has enough cooling power. I am at home for winter break so its hard to remember this stuff :) -Thanks
Thanks for all the answers. I thought quad nozzles was good for " quads " :)
Using a D5 pump , TC PA120.2 and a 3x120 radd. Need to cool my cpu and 4870x2
