I voted switched, because I was going to buy the DTek, but had to switch.
In my case I'm buying new, and didn't already have a block so I'm not switching from something that was already bought, but instead, switching from what I was going to buy to the GTZ. I like the way the backplate is designed on the GTZ. It doesn't sit on the socket blackplate and actually supports the board. The mounting system on that GTZ is perfectly engineered.

bumping a very old topic but it's still not really clear to me whether there are S1156 mounting kits. I currently use a Fuzion v2 (S775) and upgrading to S1156 and hope to keep the block so I think I need a converter or mounting kit.

Afaik there are none from D-Tek. The forum user Duniek made alteranative mounting plates for the Fuzion, I don't know if he still does that. Coupled with a Thermalright backplate you should be good to go.
