I use SATA and I'll try it out. twiggy@linxworld.org if you dont remember.
EDIT- Is this the one I already have? If so I've already used it and all went well. If not I'll test it out.

Please, do the test using the method above ok? TIA

No, this is a different one. Apparently, this has a SATA corruption fix buil-in which the original v1.0 didn't have.Quote:

Hey equito..
I have a NF7 v2.0 and a western digital raptor sata drive...
I would like to try out this bios.....
...I'm hoping that if this fix works it will be included in a bios for the earlier boards. I don't know if I will ever trust the onboard SATA completely though. Thanks for the info Equito..
Apparently, this bios here doesn't have corruption because some guy by the name Mickey Padge at amdmb forums found a way to insert bios v1.4 into it via NVFlash.
FYI: our board (v1.x) doesn't exhibit corruption anymore. IIRC, it was fixed with bios v1.8 by selecting 3.8u or 1ms
If you want to play with new bios, you can download v2.2 (leaked beta/no info available) to which I added the latest SATA bios v4.2.27
You can find it here: http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread...threadid=26057
Cheers!
Still waiting for feedback about SATA corruption from those whom requested the file... :brick:

10 and 10.5 are good and no problems with winrar...I use it extensively for p2p files.;)
LOL, I get feedbak while I'm typing my last post.
Thanks Dude!:toast:
Sorry it took so long but I wanted to try it out for a couple of days to make sure, thanks. :D
Thanks again!:toast:
Yep same here, no probs at all, so far anyway..
got my multis working thanx.
After trying the snf7d_10 and the one with the newer SATA BIOS, I still get corruption in XP with the .32 drivers with both 1.0 BIOS,
Calcu
 As i said when you first asked about this it worked for around 70% folks but there was still the folks that it did not work for. It seems that this still stands true. Off course I had little doubt it would be otherwise as you did take the MP and only insert the newer Sata rom module into it. This made little difference to the already "fixed" d1.0 bios. What the newer Sata rom does I have no idea and still wondering at the benefits of fashing to it. Is it "just" that it is the newer Sata rom thing and that it is the newest or does it have any improved performance on the Sata drives.
I done this a long time ago with Hpt raid bios and done for others what they asked inserting the newer ones as they came out. Truth be known there was no advantages in having the "newer" Hpt rom inserted in the bios, BUT folks wanted it so I helped out. Is this the same here or is there in fact an advantage in having a newer Sata rom inserted in there....Me I am just being nosy as I see my name listed about this forum and links to my website and thought to say Hi in my own enumerable way.......Hehehehehehe.....What gives people......
LOOooooooGGGGGGGGGGAAAaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnn
Nuff Said......;)
I first tried to use the Abit original d10 bios . It hosed my operating system within 3 or 4 restarts . It still does if I flash it and it always will .
I looked for a solution and found that you could flash the Sata bios from silicon images website into the abit d10 bios using nvflash . So I did . I loaded optimal defaults rebooted , then set all my bios settings as I want them ( there is no EXT-P2P Discard Time ) and everything was fine . No corruption at all . No more :\Windows\System32\Config\System corruption ... nothing .
I have tried EQuito's new d10 with the latest sata bios and it works for me too . I am using it now :)
I have 2x WD raptors in raid 0
Cheers
OK . I was using EQuito's bios d10 with sata version 4227 for the last few days . I got corruption :( . I could not get back into windows in safe mode or anything . I reflashed my d10 version and I could get back into windows to run chkdsk etc.... and fix the problems .
Strange ....
I still cant understand why. So I am back using my MP version of the d10 BIOS and all is fine again .
I will repost if anything screwy happens with my own version .
( All OC settings were the same too )
Cheers
