yeah i know, injecting honesty into the system would eff everything up.

Guys our dollar is woeful, import fees have never been this high as few banks are willing to ensure the goods and we generally have 10% more on goods after converting the price from USD, I would say DON'T bother with this kind of guess work. We had the 920 i7 for 900 at pre orders.
Hmm a little bit more expenisve than I was hoping for, I was hoping for around $300USD.
Which would equate to £184.00 GBP, but we have to add VAT on top, which has just been reduced here to 15%, so it would come to a total then of £211.60 or roughly $345.00 USD.
At the current price of $346.00 = £212 GBP + 15% VAT = £243.80 GBP or aprrox. $397.70 ($400) which is really expensive in my book.
But guess time will tell...???
You gotta pay to play! Someone put "lo sguirt' back in his cage please.
Remember guys you can't do direct conversions, heck it doesn't give very good round figures at times either. I'd wait on the USD prices until we hear directly what they are not some attempts at converting from one currency to another as it doesn't work that way.
Agree absolutely hence the "Time will tell..!!!" above..
I'm going to wait and see what happens, but if prices aren't in the approx £185.00 GBP RRP range then I'll be sticking with my 9950BE until they come to around that price range....!!!
kaz, you remeber the guy i mentioned in a previous post who is over at Dabs.com?
he is coming at me and stating that it will be just undr £200 inc Vat @15%
that will get my money if it hits on time, although he also mentioned that he isnt holding out hope of seeing them this side of Xmas, but hey whats new?
Thats rally good news, if they are going to be available for under £200 inc. VAT, then I'll be prepared to go to that price, but not much more than that...!!
I think the planned release date for these is 09/01/09, I'm sure I remember seeing that there was some kind of embargo thing that meant that they wouldn't be available until then.
I don't think its likley I'd be able to get one before Xmas now anyway, if they had released this month, then maybe I would have, but even if they do become available in Dec then it'll have to wait until mid-end of Jan before I'll be able to get one, what with Xmas expenses and all....
I need to get a new 1TB HDD first, and also maybe a bigger PSU, I'd like to get a new Router as well, as my 54g router isn't up to the task of streaming video to the bedroom and lving room PC's, and it only has 2 LAN ports (100Mbs) one of which is used for the main PC connection otherwise I'd think about using some LAN cable for the time being, as it would be cheaper to get 2 x 30+ metre Cat6 LAN Cables, than a new router, but there's not enough ports on it....:(:(
So much to get and only so much money to do it with...LOL...!!!
Next up I think I'll get the 1TB HDD, and maybe 1 x 30Metre LAN Cable, I'll move all my media then onto the 1TB HDD and put it into the Living room PC and just use a LAN Cable for the bedroom PC, that should take care f the video steaming problems...
Then it'll be a case of trying to get the PhenII when it comes out, hopefully in January, if my budget allows it.... and if prices are OK..!!
Yes!
Phenom II 940 and 920 both available for pre-order at my place!
Costs are 226 and 266 Euro, a lot less than I would have expected:up: And of course, ordering it right now;)
Which shop?
Welke shop? :p
Edit:
Here: http://www.salland.eu/
Go to pc onderdelen>processoren
I hope Dabs do it for just under £200.
I can get discounts over there so I might be tempted to pre-order one when they are listed. I was going to use my 9850 for a few months more but if I can pick up the latest Phenom for around £180 then I'd be happy to upgrade straight away.
Diekul / Rammsteiner could one of you please translate me the shipping conditions of that shop when it comes to delivering in a foreign country? Since theres no german shop yet I want to be prepared ... ;) thanks!
Aye, that's the one:up:
Well, it's kind of weird since they've one part in English noting Hungary does include their foreign shipping services while the Dutch part of it does not note Hungary:shrug:
Anyway, for the rest it pretty much means you'll have to pay before anything takes place, no Credit Cards though. They'll ship your order as soon as you agreed on the total price (product(s) + shipping costs) and as soon as your payment arrived (and is in stock of course). If you've somehow a BTW (Dutch VAT) number you can use that so prices will drop 19%.
Maybe you want to look here, but Im not sure whether they actually will or will not ship to Hungary. There's an email link attached in that link so you can ask for further questions, in English of course:p:
Oh... whatever:p:
If you've got more questions, dont mind to ask. Going to bed since Ive to work tomorrow so no instant soup answers:p:
EDIT How did you get those OCZ Reapers fitted in combination with TRUE, Oliverda? Cause Ive like :banana::banana::banana: all room left to use nice heatspreaded RAM sticks...
:)
The answer is S-type heatsink clip. It designed for TRU but with some patience (and with a hammer :D) you can use it for TRUE as well. You have to bend two or three heatpipes on the bottom. Otherwise I've seen a test where the TRU outperformed the TRUE at load.
A little bit tight. :D
Nice! Well, I already ordered the S-clip 2 days ago lol. I at least just wanted to try it, for like 4 Euro, why not:rolleyes: Anyway, I cant understand why you had to bend 3 heatpipes slightly? Is it for the RAM still to fit or for the clip:shrug:
No problem, but Im very sure other shops will follow soon enough;)
Here a update on what happen on the Aussies prices http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...10665&Itemid=1
