Now, with 10 days until my birthday....I said to Sarah today that I didn't quite know what to get myself for a present. I think it's becoming clearer to me now....:ROTF: (Just please don't tell Dr. SiG. I was doing so well too.... He did warn that there might be some "setbacks" now and then. Yeah, that's what this is, a setback....I'll save the real cruncheritis attack for when I fill up rack three....)
Just for further reference, frankenserver pulls 318 watts, boinc loaded. That's at 3.6gig running an FSB of 423 on the same SM board you have.
I'm also curious how Nelly does on power. If she's fairly efficient, it could make up the cost difference over time, if your power costs are high enough. I'm going to do some kind of high tier flavor for my new main, but I need to begin determining what the farm "workhorses" will look like. The Q6600s were the sweet spot for kents, I'll have to start looking at the rollout line up now....
It is good to hear that the mobos all seem to be fairly well cooked, based on what I've been reading. I might go after the gigabyte board first. I'll have to do some more homework.
Congrats to you,
Bob
