mine showed default of 14 (which is 1.3) after setting optimised defaults. try reflashing and clearing cmos for a few minutes, then setting optimised defaults.
Its the Same as my BIOSTAR TA770 Bios Hex settings ...(00) = 1.55vid default for both CPU/NB...
That the powerplanes at full range...When Overclocking and not using CnQ you can achieve nice overclocks,,provided you have good Air/Water cooling.
You can Lower the NBvid lower than CPUvid but not the other way around..So if you set NBvid to (14) = 1.3vid and slowly raise up when you raise your CPUclocks you can find your sweetspot...usually these clock best with Both Vids being the Same or NBvid slightly lower for less NBheat.
Note:
Some Bioses will default to (00) and some will auto tune it to the Cpu ID spec...Ive found running the CPU Vid high(1.45vid works best for going over 3.4ghz..All 780/790gx/790fx/sb750 have 1.55vid as the High power plane limit..Lots of Bioses default to (00) with hex adjustment.
Remember when you set the NB vid will also set the (CPU 1voltage setting higher) than what it sets for the NBvid value..Also if you try to set CPU lower than NB you cant..Its a VID safety feature..
With water i run 1.55vid for Both and Add xtra Vcore if need to CPU only. Up to 1.48vid for CPU i can achieve 3.45ghz with the Asus 79-T ..have also tested with lower Nbvid and Cpuvid but then cant clock as high...The best is to have Both the Same and or have the CPU a few VID settings higher than Nbvid @ any volt range..My max is 3.52ghz with 1.55vid fo both= 1.69volts:D
You Bios Options i wish the 79-T had...darn AMI bioses....If i remeber correct your Bios should be Phenix/Award..which is nice to use..I have to raise the VDD to make VID goe up...So to find the VID range that works its not as easy as typing (00):yepp:

Just picking the key points from gOtVoltage post regarding NBvid and CPUvid.
The following question, is for motherboards that instead of using 'traditional settings' for CPUvid, i.e. directly choosing the voltage you want, use the mV increments to raise voltage.
How does the the NBvid effect the CPUvid on these motherboards?
For example, on my SB750 DFI FX mobo, I have set the NBvid to 0A = 1.4250 and set the CPU Special VID to 'Auto'.
My CPU voltage is showing in CPU-Z as 1.344, in AOD CPUvid Target Voltage is 1.300v and Current Voltage is 1.300v
So either NBvid is on this mobo (beta bios 10/30) is not being applied correctly, or you CAN lower the NBvid lower than the CPUvid...
If I am missing something here, please let me know!

Guys what is the procedure for flashing this board.
I see the big warning sign and I'm not sure what they mean.
As far as I know it’s not needed for flashing. That massage is just saying if you are going to use there OC program you need the most up to date files. I download the files meant for updating your Bios via a floppy disk & put them on a Dos bootable USB stick. I have had no problems up dating my Bios this way. If you have made any changes in your Bios then save them to one of the back up banks. Up date your bios, shut down your PC, reset the CMOS battery, and turn on your PC, go into Bios screen, load default values, shut down PC, reboot PC back into Bios screen and then load up your saved settings. Then you should have no problems and a better working board. This worked for me.

After trials and tribulation I'm finally on 30/10.
It seems to be nice and stable for me too.
The shutdown issue I had has gone, I searched DFI forums and the G15 keyboard appeared to be the culprit.
The problems I had flashing was making the bootable usb stick. I re downloaded the file and it was ok the 2nd time. The 1st time the file must have been corrupted in the download process.
Yeah, pretty sad I am quoting my own post, but I think its kind of important in understanding whats happening when we adjust these settings.
So it would be great if peeps could post their findings to what I asked above.
My 790FXB-M2RS when adjusting nbVID higher than cpuVID DOES NOT push cpuVID higher than nbVID.
To be more precise, in bios I am setting CPU-NB Vid to 0E = 1.375. CPU Special VID is on auto.
When I boot into windows AOD and CPU-Z are telling me that cpuVID is 1.3volts, should this not be equal or more than nbVID???
Is this what other peeps are seeing?
Also ive seen it already mentioned in this thread, we still havnt found a solid answer to what CPU VDDC is. All I can see is that by adjusting other settings in bios, no change is shown in its value in AOD.
Hope some peeps will recognise the importance of determining what these are and how we can manipulate these.............

Hmm maybe the Bios is not 100% compatable using AOD and the VID/vdd corectly or ACC is manipulating it?
Looks like AUTO is setting what ever it likes...So With Stock vcore for both CPU/NB Try setting 1.3vid on cpu then enter 1.35vid on NB .
It should bump the CPUvid value in Bios or not let you set the NBvid above the cpuvid value...
From what ive seen on the 79-T and GX..
Remeber some Mobos auto raise the VID if you raise the Vcore values.
NBvid will always be the same or lower than the CPUvid..You can run CPUvid to 1.55v and the NBvid will stay @1.3vid if set to 1.3vid..
Now if you raise the NBvid to 1.4vid ,,it will automatically adjust the CPU VID to value of the same or .015vid higer..So if NBvid = 1.4vid the CPUvid will become 1.4vid or slightly higher...The way AMD phenom is designed it can not allow the NBvid to be higher than the CPUvid at any time...If you ever max the CPUvid and NBvid the CPUVID/volts will always be Higher.
Hope that simplifies what your seeing in AOD for ya.

i dont have VTT setting so i wont coment much,, i believe is the base volt for ram like how VDD works for CPU...From what ive researched with other Mobos ,,leaving at default value is best..You should only raise the Ram Volts to Ram spec volt or higher if you Overclock Ram like crazy.
I had no issue setting nb vid higher then cpu vid on old 790fx-m2r and the same is true for this board.
That looks to be correct behavior and independant voltage manipulation is allowed.

I am asking as it seems the DFI mobos are not obeying these rules.
Either the DFI are showing wrong readings via AOD or your statements are not entirely valid.
Thanks for chirping in pershoot with this info, so this is another DFI mobo that doesnt seem to be following the characteristcs that gOtVoltage has pointed out.
If we can pindown exactly what is going on here, well to a relative degree, we may all be able to get better overclocks, in a more efficient manner....
The Biostar TA770 and the ASUS 79-T both do this with my 9600BE and 9950BE...
DFI is know to have very independant settings ..
From what ive seen and read the NBvid is suppose to stay the same or Lower than the CPUvid but both Vcor for CPU/NB can be raise independant of each other...
The way Bioses are for SB750 with ACC it dosnt surprize me if they work different for different Mobos with the Same chip set...I know its not the IMC but Mobo Chipset related in Bios. My Biostars TA770 and GX3(sent back) i used Hexadecimal for VIDs and was able to adjust how i descrbed with the 79-T..NBvid could not be Higher than CPUvid.
My current VIDs @3.52mhz 79-T screenie below,,
if i set VDD to max and the VCORs to Max i get 1.55vid for both and the CPU goes to 1.72volts and the NB goes to 1.65volts max..

Note: ive even seen some Mobos including my old TA770 have the Default VID @1.55 for both CPU and NB with hexadecimal settings by default in Bios .. At rebels haven we did a good 80pages of Ta testing with Headecimal modded into Bios..Also the GX and GX3 has it too..

Youll have to dig but there is lots of info..the Bioses stock and tweaked by poygon...Ive tested the TA770 all...GX/GX3 just a few with simalar VID function before my Mobo went poof,,Bad PWM's ...So i exchanged it for the ASUS 79-T since the DFi790BX wasnt out yet,,Trust me 100plus bios swaps Checking and running the Highest possiable Voltage with Phenom dosnt go by to fast.
Im still using the same 9600BE and 9950 ATM.:D
Despite Bios bugs the phenom has evolved nicely for 65nm:D
A Propper Bios works wonders for Phenom..
damn nb-vid and cpu-vid readouts in that everest overclocking tab are obviously wrong with my DFI M2R (that is default 1,05v with cnq even cpu-vid is 1,4v and 1,3v nb-vid as i set 1,4v in bios xD). I suppose it has something to do with that "other" vid setting mechanism DFI uses in order to get that special vid add to work...
I can't set nb VID in AOD on mine, it just resets back to 1.3.
I can't find nb VID option in bios to try that.
Mongoled IIRC I could set nb VID higher than cpu VID on my GBT 790GP. Not 100% sure though.
My bloody shutdown problem has resurfaced. It really wants to turn off and then at the last millisecond............. it restarts. :(
