That's funny, I was thinking the same. Although, comparing post counts, you're bound to get all the goodies. :p:
Maybe (hopefully, however futile it my seem to wish so) computer shops will do the same.
Hmmmmm... I want it, but... motherboard + DDR3 RAM + CPU cost = a bit heavy... maybe even a new PSU :(. Not sure with my current usage patterns how much it would benefit me, but it looks sweet rofl.

And much faster Internet Connection for less and a health care system that also covers the dentist and and and... freezing in winter, oh wait, it gets cold here as well.
Well, In the uk we ended up waiting for a long time for the 45nm quads, while we where swamped with the dualcores, while in america it was the opposite situation, they got the quads and the duals where barely avalaible... I hope Intel manages a better launch regarding avalaibility with I7.
I'll wait while DDR3 is more expensive than DDR2.
well i won't jump on it, as it is not confirmed non xtreme edition will be able to OC, there barely any real life gaming tests (well i'm a gamer :p )and i'm kind of affraid of the price i would pay for an X58 board
even if my E6600 ils getting quite old
haha, and there's lots of screen caps of CPU-z with 150+ on the reference clock with some even at 200. Now there aren't exactly many comments on how well it scales, but I would guess that even the 940 2.67GHz part will at least be seeing 3.3 with turbo mode active and may reach into the 4GHz range.
that is why i won't jump on it at release :p
all i've seen was i965 OC, do you have any for i920 or i940 ? i didn't see any, but yes there is still NDA.
but that nda on launch and such does not make me confident on the possibilities to OC non xtreme i7's
we'll see in 1 month :p
Here is a link to a screen shot of an i920 at 4GHz.

Nice shot!
Wonder what kind of temps that gives?
but that is an engineering sample with an unlocked multi so take it with a grain of salt.
assuming it can get to 4ghz, that would make the ref clock 200mhz, and it took the i965 1.7v to reach 200mhz on the ref clock.
@ ap4lifetn
That ES have no unlocked multiplier....
I don't get why they would hide the ref clock and the multiplier if that wasn't the case, and i thought ALL engineering samples have unlocked multipliers.
According to the french site CanardPC.com, the end of the NDA is for the 3rd november.

What's up with the rumours of an earlier than expected launch? Or does the whole enthusiast line-up launch earlier than yorkfield last year? (I'm not sure but didn't they only launch the XE yorkfield in november?) Earlier than internal expectations? Or was that just gossip? How come we don't know anything about server nehalem launch schedule, clocks and prices - or did I miss it?
