Max 24/7 should be 1.4v,for suicide,you can go to like 1.7vcore:D

This chip has ridiculous FSB wall. Even crappy 65nm E4300 could easily push 400MHz FSB and this crap cannot post at 333MHz FSB unless i pump insane volts up it's ass.
320MHz is stable if i set voltage to 1,44V. I'm dissapointed.

Any idea how to make this junk work faster?
Great overclock there :up:.
That multi rocks.
RejZoR maybe you can try on a diferent board ;)
Is P5Q Deluxe not good enough 0_o
If i won't be able to get this thing stable at 4GHz with some reasonable 24/7 voltage i'm gonna sell this thing right away lol. With that old E4300 i was at least running everything maxed. Now CPU is hitting high freq. but FSB and RAM clocks are totally crappy.
And i also noticed the temp sensor on Core0 is stuck and showing 15°C at all times. Yey. Not.
Well i just installed back my trusty E4300 and i'am already selling the E5200 lol. It was fun to test but did not meet the expectations.
Anything thats this new (and even 45nm) and doesn't go to 400MHz FSB is rubbish for me.
It's still a nice buy for someone who's buying CPU from scratch though.
Before anyone gets too excited, they're a budget chip, yes 45nm, but only 2mb cache.
And stock they only have 200mhz bus. Not that it matters to us ;)
However, I bought one for my net machine... Booted straight away on stock cooler
at 3ghz, didn't bother booting at 2.5ghz so my chip has never been stock. lol
Might get a TRUE, or pump it in my liquid cooled machine to see how it burls.
Well sure it's a budget chip but for 45nm part i'd expect better overclocking than older 65nm E4300. But in reality it clocks well just because of multi. Instead, i'll try to make 3,33 GHz stable on E4300 resulting in 415MHz FSB which is not bad really.
At least i get proper bandwidth on memory unlike with E5200...
I needed almost year and a half (and 3 mobos changed) to get that E4300 to 3,3GHz. It seems after 5 changes between E4300 and E5200 i finally managed to get it to some decent clocks. Yeah, 4GHz was one of them. However i had awful stability problems. First it booted but just crashed on desktop. After it restarted i got just black screen after POST screen. 3,9GHz seems to be stable under certain conditions and high voltages usually make things worse, so lowwering them greatly actually increased overclock and stability. Any special advice on how to get this thing to work at 4GHz. How you guys usually increase clock on 45nm CPU's using P5Q Deluxe?
How do you systematically increase voltages and frequencies to achieve stability? With 4 critical voltage parameters it's hard to first get stable booting and later properly know what exactly is causing instability. Coz i really want those 4GHz!
320x12,5
vCORE=1,42V
CPU PLL= 1.70
vFSB=1.26
vNB=1,26
vDIMM=2.0
vSB=1,1
Else on auto...
It boots at 4GHz but i'm afraid to even run Orthos as it'll probably fail after 1 second. Any advice how to make this thing stable? If it boots to Windows at 4GHz, thats a good sign, but making it actually stable for heavy load is another thing.
Less CPUPLL (~1.5V), more Vfsb.
BTW how is this (topic) xtreme by any means?
ya RejZoR more fsb volts ...
when yer done and wanna get rid of it let me know ( if you dont kill it first) :D
wanna dice it :D but dont wanna pay top price just for a E5200 dice try\
love my E8400 already :D
Well, i certanly have the weirdest CPU ever. Mine is alergic to vFSB and vPLL increases. vCore and vNB is all i needed for 3,8GHz OCCT stable! Now aiming for 3,9GHz, again hoping for stable OCCT :D This one is complete opposite of my E4300. That one went flying when i increased vPLL and vFSB. No wonder same method didn't work at all on E5200. Now i'm a bit more happy with it :)
I'll go yupeeeeee if i manage to get it to 4GHz. Wet dream, but hope dies last hehe
Wow, you are so unlucky man ... My E4300 can do 3950MHz max on air @ moded P5K Deluxe ... :p I bought him like 2 weeks ago (used) :D First boot was @ 310 x 9 :D
Good luck on that E5200 :up: I'm sure that if you spend some more time playing with P5Q's bios settings (it is a weird mobo indeed ;)), clocks are going to climb up ;)
438 FSB with 9x multi? Either you misstyped or you are one lucky man. Getting these cores to 3,6GHz is usually excellent.
Btw, 310x9 is nothing special for E4300. My first painless boot with it was at 3,2GHz using 355x9. Then i went for 413x8 resulting in 3,3GHz. Over 100% overclock on the bus and over 77% on the frequency. Not bad either way :)
Can't wait to put my E5200 under DICE :)
Should be next week ill have some results
These E5200s seem to be interesting ... I always thought that my next guinea-pig cpu would be E4700, but now ... I'll maybe change my mind :D
very good clock!
congrats!
i just set mine to 250x12.5 and was happy with it.
to get 4Ghz on mine it needed 1.8 volts
no that is not a typo
If you decide to go for it, you 'll be relieved, trust me :D
so RejZoR what is your's batch #
got 2 tonight and would like to know what your's is before eye put 1 or the other in
stangracein2 whats yours also ... wanna dodge that one:D
Fry's had a sale on em today 109.00 bucks with a pos mobo ecs 7050chipset
EDIT: ok she didnt listen and only got 1 argggggg
it's a SLAY7 batch 3827A341 MO step
any one know about this batch??
