where were u guys last year :) lol thanks :toast:
this q9650 (1.2125vid) still going strong @ 4.5-4.6ghz 1.6-1.7vtt air cooled every day for more than a year now
e-mil i took 2x q9650 (the other a 1.2500vid) ~4.9ghz @ 70f ambient on the ifx14 cooler.. a third q9650 i couldnt.. if you got a good q9650 and a good dq6 you should reach high clocks :up:
good luck :toast:
WoW... I missed this great thread last year LOL
Very nice Napalm :up:
Its AMAZING. Even more AMAZING is that your CPU still alive after that insane VTT.. And 1.7V VTT for 24/7 !! :shocked:
I remember Anandtech killed their QX9650 with only 1.45V VTT.
:up:
I watched and learned ;);)
Thanks NapalmV5, I think my processor is not as good as yours
- 1,2875 vid
- DQ6 has huge vdroop (at high FSB --> 0,10-0,12V)
- F12 bios
- boot in windows with 4,50 GHz (copy/paste from this link ;))
- my PSU --> ????
- anything above 520 FSB --> freeze or restart system
- stable at 4,00 GHz (445 FSB) for now
I have some results so far, with my Q9650, and I think the results are the average.
But if you look at hwbot.org then I see that I am in the top 10 on air cooling.:eek::eek:
Here are some:

Wow, insane frecuency on your quad dude.
Great score:clap:
I can only say:
The new King of AIR is born :D:D:D
Q9650 + EP45-DQ6 + IFX-14 + all AIR (my balcony) ==> 4923 MHz

Hi NapalmV5
thx for support :up:
see you
congrats! :toast: nice! :up: youre welcome!
i wish my apartment have a balcony :D lol
yeh some dq6 require you to set higher voltages than others.. it all comes down how far you push voltages and how good the mobo is
keep it up! :up:
Nice, mb LN2 next time run for WR on this CPU? :D
