thanks man
see you next week :D
high frequency should be the king of bandwidth if the 790i results hold true. obviously tighter mains helps but bandwidth is really a by-product of the chipset more than anything with memory clocks being second most important. CPU frequency helped a lot in 790i land if i recall but on the Rampage Extreme doesn't seem to do much but lower latency. i am kind of surprised by the numbers this P45 has put up at these clocks to be honest. this is the first time going over 930MHz with this chipset/board so i have a lot of investigating to do but it looks like SPi 32M might be decent here...if it continues to scale and i can get 600FSB+ tRD9 cooking.
@Zolkorn...tRD 7, 266 strap, and high memory frequency (1070MHz) is the recipe
i can get tRD=9 with DDR2 board at 600 with CAS4
so that board should be capable of same too
"should" being the operative word ;)
just ran 525x8 with the same settings as 525x7 and Read bandwidth was up 12850 MB/s and latency down to low 41ns. Write went up maybe 100MB/s, so CPU frequency is helping a little bit in Everest bandwidth on this board. should be interesting to see what ratios are/aren't working at 600FSB...assuming it will even get there. might have to give it a few liters of the cold stuff after classes this morning.
Sweet work guys, good to see the boards are flying finally
keep gigabyting it
HAHAHA keep Gigabyting it
that's fantastic :up::up::up::up::clap::ROTF:
Great run dinos..... now EP45 and EP45T -Extreme shows some big improvement with new BIOS.
@ 3oh6 : really sick B/W !!!!
congrats dinos... maybe try F7 bios ? :D
i hear F7 is a sick bios as well
i donno what to try first
EP45-Extreme
EP45T-Extreme
Skulltrail with dual QX9775s lol
with 4870X2 cards
decisions decisions
hahahaha
Suggest you run EP45T for the next few days as practice.
After this weekend on RE ill be switching to it also.
Nice run dino, those gigabyte boards are producing some awesome results :D
