I think it is better. Back when they went to the 6. whatever I was getting really bad PPD. I think it was because I was still using the older client. I was getting frustrated and thought I had something going on in the background causing my computer to slow down.
I will look at the log to see what you are talking about. Is bbcode in the Leet key firefox add on?

Awesome guide, I think this is the only guide I've done that worked the first time around.

^^Thanks Slayer... I really just posted it last year to show how I prefer to do mine, not really an official guide... but I like to keep things simple and short, so hopefully it helps some people out... luckily PG hasn't changed clients smp yet.... ;) so this OP walkthru still works.
2long, I just meant post your log...
you can wrap your log in (code)xxxxxx(/code) - except replace the () with []
and it will look like this...

Great guide mike too bad I just found it running smp on my q6600 clients :)
-
I am having 0 luck with this on Windows 7 64. I followed the steps perfectly and everything was indicated to be working except when I actually launch the client. It immediately closes. Tried running as Administrator and still no dice. Any ideas?

I think they released a new exe. dl this exe and drop it over the old one. then try it again http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=10490
