golden, how are you getting your clocks to change? do you have CCC overdrive disabled or enabled???? i cant get my bios clocks to take effect, gpu-z reads my clocks at 790 after i flashed them to 820.....
^you have to disable overdrive
Can anyone confirm if a voltage change in BIOS actually affects the cards voltage?
I disabled it before flashing... I can't even access the tab unless I'm on the stock BIOS, so you need to flash back to stock, disable it, then back to 820 to get it to take :). Also I recommend a full power-off after flashing for a few seconds, then power back on, I found that some flashes weren't taking fully it seemed like (unstable), but if I powered off then back on they worked just fine.
So, anyone have an idea as to why between 790/4400 and 840/4400, in further testing I am seeing a roughly 20-25% increase across the board performance-wise for a 6.3% clock speed increase? In Crysis the benchmark shows it repeatedly... in COD4 a smoke grenade standing near and looking right at it always took me to 45FPS or so, now it's 60-65... GRID with FRAPS on in the same race starting area is higher as well. Not sure what's causing it, everything else is the same.
a little help here please, which of the clock info states am i changing because i just flashed my bios with new clocks and instead of being overclocked my card wont leave its idle 500mhz state, please help
