nothing actually. only 5-5-5-15 and 2v on P5Q-D
but see i only use 375 and 400 fsb, i will try new bios with higher FSB. also try other motherboards to make sure it is not just for p5q-d
Can you please try the classic 450x8 ? :D
Use one of the 07xx bios ;)
yes i will. but not right now
G.S Technician ,
Any idea why cpuZ is showing 'DDR3'
Yes it's a P45/CPU-Z issue. My Dominators also are detected by CPU-Z on my P5Q Deluxe as DDR3.
G.S Technician, what IC's are being used on this babes ? PowerChips as all actual 4Gb kits ? Or a new brand ?
They are very good if those you tested aren't "golden samples" ;)
I hope to confirm that quality monday when I get my kit :D
:D you can't tell because of lack of knowleged of because you can't ? ;)
Let me take a guess...it's higher binned PSC.
I'd like to be wrong, but i'm sure i'm not.
And if i'm wrong, it's about time we see some competition in the 2 GB DIMM arena, since there hasn't been for a long time.
jVIDIA, basically all the good 2x2 GB kits don't really need 2.1v...they might be rated that, but most good PSC does very well with less than 2.0v.
Voltage really doesn't help Powerchips, in fact i think it's the crappier binned kits that needed the higher vdimm, since the ones that clock the best don't even need the same voltage.
hmm newegg sold out of the 4gb kit lol
If someone wants to buy & send me some, i'll overlook the utterly retarded heatspreaders, & write up a detailed overclocking results review w/ pics of naked ICs ;)
From 3DGameMan review of this mem's :
:shrug:Quote:
Please note that in order to find the maximum stable overclock, I increased the memory voltage to 2 using a timing of 5-5-5-15 T2. I started at the default speed of 1100MHz DDR2 and slowly increased until I hit 1120MHz. I found 1120MHz DDR2 to be stable when both running Prime95 and games.
The board was an ASUS P5N-T Deluxe. Is it good for OC ?
I hope that is only a "lack of skills" to do the OC :D
There is another resolution ..... if G.S.Tech says to us what are the IC's being used :D
some people with redline 8000 kits have reported being able to do 1200mhz
and many have done 1160+ must be high binned powerchips
mine max out @ 1140 with 2.1v
when u guys remove the coolers to check the chips. if the heatsinks are ont linked and one on each side of the ram, can you put them back once u have removed them? with what are they glued
I'm impressed by the frequency but not by the performance. You must have PL on auto (if the bios is any similar to the Rampage board).
When u put a new bios on please, lower the PL to 5 or 6 and repost the everest bench.
1066 with PL5 on my rampage gives this to me:

According to Anandtech ddr2 1200 can provide much higher bandwith:
